The end of an era, the end of these horrendous looking cars, the end of a titanic battle between the Silver Arrows, where better to end it all than in the twilight of the Arabian desert. We say good bye to F1 titans Button and Massa...
When the sun rises again in 2017 everything will change...

This season finale is the reverse of 2014 I am sure, weird how things turn around like that. I't in Rosbergs hands, I cannot really say what will happen. Glad it will be on C4 as well.

It'll need a disaster for Rosberg not to take the WDC, the mercs have been fast here in the last 2 seasons, can't see that changing.

It would have to be an exact repeat of 2014 for Hamilton to win the WDC. Only a mechanical will halt Rosberg, even if he has a puncture or something like that, the Merc is so dominant here there is no reason to think he could not come back and get the 3rd place he needs.

Rosberg plays it easy, the WDC is his. I hope he goes for the win, all championships should be won with a victory and not a plod.

Rosberg qualifies first or gets to the first corner first. Hamilton fights him, but has to be circumspect because he can't afford contact. As they fight, the Red Bulls move close enough that one of them is able to jump them at the first stops. I fancy an upset, one of the Red Bulls to win. Dunno why, but I'm going for Ricciardo. The last race of the season often throws up an unexpected result. Rosberg to finish third, Ham second, Rosberg wins championship. This will turn out be either a remarkable prophecy or bobbins.

Does anyone believe the rumour that, following Japan - to get Hamilton back on message - Merc told him if he won the next three races, he would be champion?

I'm going for Rosberg electronics failure...

    I hope so.
Hey, Crofter! It's been rumoured you're second only to Legard. What say you, sir?

And whilst you're here, why are you a pedantic, egotistical bore? Your flippant asides are not funny; they are an unwelcome, irritating and irrelevant. Pay attention to the competition and learn something from Ben Edwards.

What about a Lewis leading, Nico in 4th place and Massa in 3rd. Massa pulls over and lets Nico through on the last corner of the last lap to take the championship? :p

I just have this feeling that Hamilton will win the wdc. No real reason, I just think Rosberg is due an issue.

I wish. As mentioned above though, a mechanical failure for Rosberg handing Hamilton the championship will cause the internet to melt down through the Earth's crust. The only non-controversial way that Hamilton can win is if Rosberg makes an error which is clearly his and which puts him in a barrier somewhere. Any other scenario, engine failure, pit stop debacle, strategy cock up, tyre failure, collision etc and we will never hear the end of it until the end of time itself.

Fingers crossed for a Nico win, but I think it's more likely a Lewis Win and Nico following him around for 2nd.

I really hope Nico wins the WDC, I think this year he's raised his game this year and over the season I think he's been much more constant than Lewis. Lewis seemed checked out for a bit of this season, don't know what happened behind the scenes, but I do suspect that something did.

To be fair to Lewis though, if not for Malaysia he would be 16 points ahead with 380 points. That engine blow wasn't his fault and can't be helped by him and not even looking at other engine problems, that one alone would suggest Lewis has still had a better season than Nico just Nico is fortunate enough to not have had any engine issues.

Not saying Nico wouldn't deserve it as I've said in a previous thread he has been there to pick up the pieces but I honestly still think Lewis has been the better driver through the duration of the season.

Over the season bits of bad luck even them selves out. I would say that Nico has also had bad luck which has cost him points. The FIA having a vendetta against him and turning a blind eye to Lewis every chance they get is just one example.

Lewis has been the better driver on more occasions that Nico, but I still think Nico has raised his game this season and has either been the best or second best driver on the day. Lewis when missing for some of this season, where he finished third a couple of times.
