Bit like UB40 - 90% of their songs are covers. Even their biggest hit 'Red Red Wine' isn't theirs.

    rip off ****ers.

I suggest you have a look at their big hits and see who they've ripped off by modernising them. ****ers, can't stand that band. They give reggae such as bad name mate, trust me on that.

Now go lie down Treble <grr>

Its Reggea for white people. That's where it went wrong.

Its like making a curry for a white person and you get a korma. Why do that? Why not just enjoy a curry for what it should be? Change it and its not a curry anymore.

I'm not saying they didnt cover many reggae tracks, I just never saw a problem with it. They also took the message and brought it down to their own community - a reflection of their troubles/life experiences at the time.

Very snobbish attitude Sky which imo goes against what reggae is all about.

    A cover of a cover.

Anyway, Jamaican music has a strong tradition of doing covers
(whether tis an outright cover or just lifting parts of lyrics from songs) .
And doing them very well indeed.
