He wont be sacked. The board wont make a statement. We know how this goes. AN will say in the next interview "We are working hard in training, on defending. We will put it right" He's on a loop, which shows me, he is totally lost! He doesn't know what the f*ck he's going to do! He's a inexperienced manager, and he has never had the tests of the Premiership, or picking players up after a relegation, acting when in a crisis. He's never had any of this at Hamilton. I think it's pretty bloody obvious.
Of course they won't. They're all far too busy polishing and dusting Hughton's 'happy clappers' ready to stick one up everyone's arras at the Brentford game to try and deflect from the emotional pain that grows on a game-by-game basis
I still don´t understand why so many of you are surprised at the way this season is going. Ever since we came down, the manager, and most of the fans have been telling the players and anyone else who would listen, that they´re far too good for this league and they should walk it back to the PL. Fact is, that´s the worst thing to tell any players, especially some who have just been relegated, they ought to have been told that they´re no better than any others in this league,( they wouldn´t have been relegated, if they had been) and if doing nothing else, it might at least have given them a wake-up-call. But no, all we´ve been hearing, and are still hearing, is that with this squad we should be up and around the top two - I don´t agree, and haven´t agreed for some time, with this squad and epecially how they are applying themselves, we´ll be extraordinarily lucky to get anywhere near the top six, let alone the top two, come May. I certainly wish any change of manager, more likely as each week passes, the very best of British, because he´s damn sure going to need it.
If Fatty Sam Bummed McCarthy, then Mick did a little turd straight after. You would hire it as your next manager, and be relieved. Because it is a bit Fat Sammy, and better than your current position.
No mate. We came down, with the investment in players we had, the parachute payments, the big wages we could pay to hold on to players. The Premiership sponsorship. The reputation to use to beat other clubs to signings. That's why, we rightly expected, us to challenge for the top 2. Us expecting us to compete, is not why this club is in a mess. All the fans have done is support this club. Even in League 1. So no. That's bullsh*t. Sorry mate.
Can I just make it clear how I feel before I sign off: I am bored F*cking shyteless with the F*ucking shyte tactics this F*ucking useless F*ucking Twat of a F*cking manager is doing to my club, he needs to F*ck off now and take his F*cking useless F*cking self back to where he came from. Yes I'm F*cking angry and mad as F*cking hell. He's had 18 F*cking months for F*cks sake to sort out the F*cking mess he's made and its so F*cking obvious that he's F*cked it up BIG TIME! F*CK OFF NOW!!!!!!!!!!
The media believed it. Newcastle and Norwich, nailed on they said. Retaining the entire squad, minus O'Neill and Redmond suggested desire and ambition to prove the pundits right and the fans were (quite rightly) fuelled by this show of supposed belief and ambition. Why wouldn't they be? All the signs so far led to increased levels of expectation around the club. But when it started to slither from AN's grasp, and he had no idea how to get it back on track (still doesn't ) and to compound it all, DS and MWJ openly confess that they dislike the Premier League are are happy to plod along wherever fate takes us? And if anyone phones to offer a potential escape from this wave of mediocrity, they won't even ****ing talk to him / her on the phone! WTF? It's only a matter of time until a backlash to this selfish and irresponsible announcement filters through into the stands, fans forums, in fact every corner of the green and yellow persuasion. Sadly, it appears to have reached the dressing room first, because they're clearly no longer up for it
But shut up! You are making Norwich City Sh*t by hoping we will be promoted at the point where we have the best chance to be. So don't support Norwich. Say that Norwich are a crap club. Then we will be promoted!!
I just don't get this post RBF. Of course we were surprised, for a while at least, that we didn't do better. We had a reasonable squad after all, with players with Premier League and International experience. You don't agree now? Well, of course not, nor does anyone else anymore. We've been dragged down by poor management. Remind me again what your point was that no-one else got?
Even with a new manager we are so far behind in the automatic position he won't make up the difference. Play-offs is as good as it gets. Unless there is a miricle about to happen I don't see us winning away at Derby and surely AN will be gone? We are in a downward spiral which many of us have witnessed before and it ends with a sacking
Morning gandy - the majority of the players we have now, are those who failed to keep themselves in the Premier League, which by definition, automatically turns them into Championship players, and in the case of some of them, only average Championship players at that. That ought to have been the starting point when discussing our realistic chances this season, not telling them how they were going to walk it without even breaking sweat. You´re absolutely right in your comment above - ´we had a reasonable squad´, reasonable, yes, but so do the majority of clubs in this League. Every season this league gets tougher and tougher to get out of, and reputation and parachute payments won´t get you there alone. Fact is, the players look just exactly what they are, average Championship players, struggling to find their feet, even in this division, and I´m not convinced that any change of manager will alter that, and turn them into a Championship winning side. Not disputing that Alex Neil had a part to play in this downward spiral, naturally he did, but I´m very dubious as to whether any managerial change will make any significant difference to this bunch of players. Just my opinion, old boy. Hope that clears it up slightly.
Excise my intervention, but I'm sure that any talk of being one of the best squads in the division, blah, blah, blah, was nothing whatsoever to do from within the corridors of power at Carrow Road. If the players are dumb enough to pay attention to what media pundits and bookmakers are saying (we were, quite rightly, considered and backed as one of the faves to go up, what with parachute money and retaining most of the squad from last year) then more fool them for a) assuming it would be so, and b) not showing the necessary application to arrest the trend as soon as our challenge starts to go off the rails.
I´ve heard Alex Neil say it on countless occasions, in post-match interviews, and he´s still saying it, fans on here say it after every match we lose, so it´s by no means just media pundits and bookmakers.
Perhaps not the easiest column Gary Gowers has ever had to write! But the last line pretty much sums it up for me, and many other contributors on this forum. http://norwichcity.myfootballwriter...-trip-to-loftus-road-pointless/#comment-79452
