Even better news, Hammers blow 2:1 lead, losing Winston Reid to boot. Keeps it nice and tight at the bottom.
I dont want to pinch the credit for this but the day we signed Vic I posted we could work with a little and large upfront, and we go onto win both games where he's partnered with Defoe. Keep up the good work lads, the big test is Pool next weekend, bring them on.
I'd be tempted to start JOS, Kirchoff already looked rusty this season, and I'm not sure I'd trust him against Liverpool's front line after a fairly substantial injury lay-off. Also, I think Kone needs a leader to partner him, I think that's why he worked so well with Kaboul. He's a good defender but still learning the (English) game and I think JOS could really help him sort his positioning and calm things down a bit at the back. Plus, Denayer looked decent in DM.
I posted a good fun thread a few months ago. I cant remember what i called it but it was about things that weve said thats come back to haunt us and Victor could be the case for a few of us. I asked for it to be stickied but I was ignored?
What a beautiful moment this was. It's almost a perfect metaphor that the fans are the true soul of football
Seemed like people were having a laugh with them and using them so it might have helped with the atmosphere a little bit.
i think you're right. We need a leader at the back, and JOS is the obvious choice. Denayer lots of energy and v comfy on the ball in the DM role.
The Chinese bloke who knocked buying Hull back was allegedly at the match today. Is there anything to read into that or not?
Said on radio Newcastle that Denayer had a hamstring problem so hopefully that does not affect him for next week. Big Vic was a beast today like - its been a long long time since I have seen a Sunderland forward with his strength and ability to hold the ball up I know he was up against a 17 year old when Moyes changed it after 15 mins but in the second half Curtis Davis came over to cover and he bossed him as well.
