In all fairness Jermaine Defoe has been a great striker - he was quite a force when he had a good team around him. The fact that he has put the ball in the net at all this season, in the dross that he's playing with, may be on par with his greatest achievements - probably in his last season in the Premiership.
Danny Graham ...£5million quid, 29 appearances ...1 goal (I am assuming and think you will agree... he just couldn't bring himself to score for your lot, as you rightly point out, he can manage it elsewhere) ...well that proved to be an outstanding investment on your clubs part You can only score against what is in front of you. And interesting to note that Hull had 58% of play and something like quadruple the shots at goal and on target and corners too.
