Winning by 1 goal against 10 men for over 90 minutes, not so great.

No-one is expecting Rome to be built in a day... it's the same group of players, but can you say it would have been the same under JFH?

We looked more attacking and less defensively fragile... minus the hiccup at the end.

We are not going to tear up this league... we never were going to.

Northern Ireland international Conor Washington netted his third goal of the season for QPR

Ian Holloway began his second spell in charge of Queens Park Rangers with a win as his side beat 10-man Norwich.

Canaries left-back Martin Olsson saw red in the second minute for handling on the goal line but Tjaronn Chery sent the subsequent penalty wide.

Conor Washington gave the R's the lead midway through the first half and Sebastian Polter added a second.

Steven Naismith pulled a goal back to set up a tense finale but the visitors slipped to a fourth consecutive defeat.

Alex Neil's Norwich, relegated from the Premier League last season, were second in the table a month ago but a five-match winless streak has seen them slip to sixth in the Championship.

Holloway, who managed the R's between 2001 and 2006, returned to Loftus Road following the dismissal of Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and saw his team make a bright start.

Olsson's early dismissal handed the hosts the upper hand and, after Chery screwed his spot-kick wide, Rangers took the lead through a close-range finish from Northern Ireland international Washington.

Norwich winger Jacob Murphy hit the crossbar in the second half and then set up Naismith, whose header gave the visitors hope of a comeback.

However, City were unable to find a late equaliser, allowing Holloway to end Rangers' run of three games without a win on his return to west London.

Very good stuff
I honestly thought we would lose
Norwich on a bad run and will bounce back and few will get any more points from them I think
Let's do the other lot from that beck of the woods next

Good first half with bags of pace and energy. Two good goals snd excellent half from Chery. Poor second half with the enthusiasm seemingly left in the dressing room. Same old same old in midfield with no link up play from Luongo in particular. Plenty for IH to sort out.

As per usual, content not available for us poor overseas sods - will have to wait for "live from Vietnam".
it's on qpr fb Vietnam now. Great pass from Chery. Can't copy it on this midget Thai phone I'm using now travelling unfortunately.

Seagullpoop I don't disagree but if you look at the prediction league most of the fans thought we would win or draw with 2 = 1 being a favourite, I think if we we told we would be playing against 10 men for most of the game those predictions would have us scoring more, and rightly so.

Ollie has certainly very quickly brought back excitement, entertainment and a positive atmosphere to LR.

If he achieved this effect after only only week, it is frightening what may be achieved after more time with the team. :)

It is just a pity that we did not follow-on the excellent start and put away 5 or 6 goals against a 10 man Norwich team.
.
But well done. A great start!

I had to go and watch the animation on Betfair at the end... Player is about 2 or 3 mins behind... I just wanted the whistle to go!

This is true. I thought there was a lag as I was listening abroad.

I admit that it was annoying to get the BBC alerts 10 seconds before I heard the commentary on the goal. Next time I will disconnect the alert function and just listen to the commentary, even if slightly late.

I enjoyed today's match but really thought they'd nick a draw at the end even with 10 men. Hopefully it will put some belief in the team and some positivity in the club. I thought we looked like we wanted it today, there was a hunger that had vanished under JFH. Hopefully success will breed success.
