Cowie and SuperKev have been called up by Scotland as well so it's definately a squad game now McNaughton and Cowie called up
Lets hope the curse of the Scotland call up doesn't strike again. Who else is playing in some pointless friendly international on Wednesday? Earnie, Darcy and the Gunnar, what about Gyepes, Keinan and Kiss. If the Jocks get anymore sicknotes from their mothers we could see Marshall (after his MOM taday) and Conway going north as well. On the positive side we must be doing something right to have so many international or potential international players.
I didn't consider those 3. Can't see a fixture for Israel, Slovakia are playing but I don't think Kiss is a full Int as yet (or is it Slovenia ??) and Hungary are playing Iceland but cant find the team sheets so not sure if Gyepes is sharing a taxi with Gunnar
3-1 to the Bluebirds! Brilliant result against the Hammers and hopefully that will generate a bit of momentum
I reckon Oxford will give you a good run for your money at their place but I'll give Bluebirds a 3-2 win. Miller with 2, Whittingham the other
A scratch side to beat Oxford 1-0. I also think we need to stay in the cup competitions to enable the less regular players a run out and we all know how good a cup run is for the team spirit and keeping the fans happy. After all we can't be expected to win any tournaments can we
I have a funny feeling that this game isnt a top priority game in Malkie's grand scheme of things for the following season. Sorry but 1 - 0 to Oxford
I'm going for a draw. Oxford United 1 Cardiff city 1. How do the points work in the prediction league Blue Sheep...how many for a correct score and how many for a correct result?
I suppose we still gotta think of the money that a cup run could provide, but like proph and others I won't be broken hearted if we lose this one. That said, at this early stage of the season, it does give Malky an opportunity to have a good look at things. Oxford 0 Cardiff 2 is my guess.
Also winning is a habit...the squad players who get a run need to feel the confidence of winning as well. When they step into the first team, they need to be coming off some decent results being part of a team and not just good individual performances
Oxford play some really good football and are full backs like to get forward! we beat Bristol this time last year 6-1 and went on to play west ham away in the second round only to lose 1-0 to a Scott Parker goal in the 91st min! if we play like we do when we play big teams i will go for 2-0 Oxford! great win for you boys yesterday well done, see you Wednesday!
