Am I losing the plot? I thought this misguided thread was abut supporting 'our boys' because some on here think that they are saints or victims at the mercy of being stitched up by a corrupt system. I didn't realise it was actually about use of public judicial resources and the allocation of cases to particular courts. Who gives a toss whether it's a judge at the Old Bailey or one elsewhere who gets to deal with these morons.

I'd like to say that I'm so impressed with people who meet up to fight others and work out who's tougher. The cause is so noble and to discover that they find themselves on the wrong side of the law, I weep for them. So unjust.

I hope one day to meet up with some of these heroes and try and learn a thing or two about what it means to be a tough guy.

Until then, I'll be thinking of them all the way.

    We are QPR.

Not every act of violence are seen by police but if they do and are arrested they will be prosecuted. Your friend has a history and if found guilty he will be given a long sentence. I don't understand why anyone wants to defend this mentally deficient hooligan

its not that simple in the very old days of london town violence was all over the place,a three way battle between jamaicans irish and english bread a lot of tough people
many of you on here have come from better backgrounds london and glasgow was very tough, and skinheadism created a time where everybody got caught up with this strange behaviour
its very frightening for many of you when birmingham come to loftus road because they think they have to create violence to live up to there reputations,
but this is well hyped up to justify the amount of money spent on this type of stuff
too of us on here which is herts and myself hope that these guys get a not guilty the rest of you seem to want them banged up,thats of course your choice

Perhaps most of us weren't alive at the time of Ripper Street.

Oh, I didn't realise that "our guys" were all 60 year old products of a violent London. Obviously not the same parts of London where the non-violent supporters originate.

They have my deepest sympathies. As do serial killers, rapists and *****philes if they happen to support the Rs.

    At least now I know.

As a 55 and 3/4 year old, all I can say is London must have changed a lot in that 5 year difference, from the law of the jungle to a place where only knuckle dragging ****ers had to prove their masculinity by chasing after each other.

A 5 year difference that would have affected you to this very day, no less.

A mere half decade and you'd be asking me to meet you to settle this like real men.

    Think yourself very lucky.*

*To avoid the jungle that is (not the prospect of having to square up to yours truly - a 10 stone pacifist)!

Careful now, what are the rules of Fight Club?

Actually in this version you apparently have to boast about your alleged exploits down the pub, because women find it deeply attractive.

Rule 1. You do talk about Fight Club.
Rule 2. You DO talk about Fight Club.
    Rule 3. You're a victim of circumstances.
Rule 4. If you're caught then the authorities are clearly victimising you.

I can't remember the other rules - I've taken too many punches to the head (but I took down at least 20 of 'em before they got me).

this subject can be so heavily discussed but we will none of us change as people if somebody pulls a knife out on me and tries to mug me i will knock him out
if that makes me lesser of a man who runs away then so be it
my generation was all about violence and im niether proud of it or ashamed of it im too old now,,but i have one right hook left in me and that will maybe save my life
but life goes on it always goes on,but this subject always brings a good bit of conjecture so well done herts for putting up topic

    I'm of the same generation.

Funnily enough, I don't remember it as a generation of violence. It was meant to be the generation of love! Make love not war!

Mind you I can't remember getting the "free love" & I'm "sad" to say that I have never felt the need to hit anybody at football!

Ted has now mentioned how he would react if somebody pulled a knife on him. Is he now trying to say that is what happened in the fracas that is now in court?

Should this case be at Crown Court? Possibly not, but how anyone can be asking for praise & support for the defendants is beyond my understanding. Just put them in a ring with The Inter City Crew & The Headhunters (if I have these names correct) etc.

I can't imagine anyone bothering to buy tickets to watch though!

Too many willy liberals on here, your all very quick to judge "some one our own" because you had a little custhy number in your younger years.

It's time to open your eyes and stop pillow biting, it's a big world out there.

I'm positively in the Sb club. If our lot are truly innocent. they wouldn't be the agressors. Sorry Ted and Hertford, if you want to support hooligans, maybe you should support our Chelscum neighbours. Real QPR fans do not participate in such violence.

I think I might be a willy liberal and if I am I'm proud to be so. I grew up in Harlesden and it wasn't really that custhy. I'm not about to judge the people that are on trial because I have no knowledge of the case, but it seems to me to be pretty daft to hope that they get off just because they are QPR fans. If they are guilty I hope they go down for a long time.

kicking people in the head while they are most probably on the floor should never get anyones support

City of London police have arrested five football fans after QPR and Leyton Orient hooligans clashed outside the Woodins Shades in violence that left one fan unconscious.

The men – aged 18 , 22 , 26, 28 and 30 – from West London, Hemel Hempstead and Southall were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder in the Square Mile in an operation on Tuesday and Wednesday (16/17 September). Police were called to the pub at 7.45pm on 8 August – the opening weekend of the new football season – to reports of a fight in Middlesex Street.

A brawl broke out between a group of Queens Park Rangers and Leyton Orient supporters with bottles and glasses being thrown. Leyton Orient supporter was struck by one of the bottles causing a cut to the head and was taken to a London hospital. A member of the public was also injured by flying glass after the window of the Woodins Shades was smashed. One O's fan was kicked in the head causing him to lose consciousness and suffer cuts to the left eye socket. He was taken to a London hospital where he was treated

any in particular we are supporting
    maybe the cokehead

One man was accused of criminal damage, a further two men were charged with grievous bodily harm and another was charged for cocaine possession.

Matthew Mchugh, 29, from Hemel Hempstead, Joel Watson, 27, Raymond Watson, 47, Paul Dillon, 31, all of whom are from Hammersmith, Jamie Gourey, 19, from Southall and Terry Curtis, 28, from Romford, Essex will appear at London Magistrates Court on 21 April.

Jordan Pasquale, 20, from Richmond upon Thames, Devon Annal, 30, from Hammersmith, Sam O'donoghue, 27, from Westminster, Stephen Dore, 28, from Ealing and David Lawrence, 25, from Borehamwood, Hertfordshire will appear at City of London Magistrates Court on 22 April.

A 17 year old from Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire will appear at West London Magistrates Court on 25 April.

Nicholas Fearon, 28, from Fulham, London will appear at City of London Magistrates Court on 6 May.
