I've heard from a few people today that the talks went alright. There's a chance it could happen before Christmas.

I'm happy to discuss my opinions.

I'm not able to answer on behalf of the Trust, you'll have to direct any questions to them directly.

Don't tell me what I can and can't post you daft ****er. <doh>

I've lost a lot of interest for various different reasons, and it's tiresome to even comment because the reaction is so predictable, but previously I've suggested talks, and I've suggested a campaign of humorous disrespect and ridicule, so even if they don't acknowledge it, at least it looks like they listen, but I think running both together smacks of edging bets to claim 'success' either way.

I'll bang another of my many drums, and no doubt get told there's some system in place, but I still suggest that the trust itself actually engages with fans more on boards like this as more involvement can bring up more ideas and spot potential pitfalls.

Twitter campaigns aren't very effective no and our City twitterati manage well enough to mock our owners on their own, but on every other issue the Trust have been exemplary.

There seems to be some confusion over the new campaign and the aims that the Trust discussed with the club, which are two separate things.

I don't think there's any expectation from anyone that any of the things that the Trust want to see happen will take place under the current owners.

Predictable? Like posting stuff then getting the hump when anyone questions what you've posted?

Then telling someone you can't tell them what to do, even when you haven't?

Then claiming stuff you've posted is **** all to do with you?? That sort of predictable?? :emoticon-0136-giggl

You think they'll claim victory? I'm thinking in the style of CI with their "exclusives" and "firsts" which at least were done tongue in cheek.

Why did you promise to show support for the victims of the Port Said disaster, an incident that rocked Egypt and football in the middle east, by offering to host a friendly charity match against Al Ahly SC, and then never bothering to actually host said game, meaning the victims families got NOTHING. #askehab

    http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/asse...ty-v-al-ahly/story-17088815-detail/story.html

HULL City owner Assem Allam has moved a step closer to arranging a friendly with Egyptian side Al Ahly.

Allam has agreed terms to stage a friendly at the KC Stadium, most likely as one of next season's pre-season warm-ups.

The deal was struck when he visited Al Ahly on a trip to Egypt last month, while moderating at the British–Egyptian Education Conference in Cairo.

During his stay he was invited to visit the the club by current President Hassan Hamdy, when the two men formally agreed to stage the match.

The details will now be discussed and agreed by with Tigers' manager Steve Bruce.

Mr Allam initially announced his intention to bring Al Ahly to Hull in March this year, after 74 people died and hundreds were injured when fans invaded the pitch at Port Said, when the club faced Al-Masry.

He intends to fund the trip himself and donate all the gate receipts to help the victims of the tragedy, the worst sporting disaster in the North African country's history.

Mr Allam said: "I met with Hassan Hamdy and we discussed the logistics of bringing the football team over to Hull to play a friendly match and to exchange summer training camps.

"We haven't set a specific date yet, that is still to sort out with Steve Bruce, but I can say that the match will take place before the start of next season."

While in the country, Mr Allam was interviewed for Egyptian television about his life and the conference he was attending.

He used the opportunity to talk about Hull City and raise awareness of the club and his adopted city.

I'm not sure if I should respond to this or not.

    You seem quite sensitive.

The idea that the Trust or anyone else wants to claim credit for the Allams leaving, if they ever do, is utterly ridiculous.

If they go, we'll all rejoice and no one will give a **** about who is to thank for it.

If it helps to put anyone's mind at ease. Keep a bookmark of this post where I categorically state that the Trust have no plans to seek credit for the Allams leaving in the event that they do, and feel free to bring it up again to make me look silly if we do try it.

Shut up! I did my colouring in this morning. Then I did my numbers and then I had my dinner and then I did some words and then I played out.

I was told on Monday that Chien Lee had put in a final take it or leave it offer, I was also told that he had another club lined up, as he believed Ehab was jerking him around.

Matt Dean has just tweeted that Chien Lee expects to agree heads of terms on the purchase of another English club today or tomorrow.

We are going around in circles, but for the life of me, I've seen nothing to change my mind Dutch.
