    Was at the Bristol City v Ipswich game yesterday. Stockdale solid in the goal may I say;

    Only really two shots and a few crosses but he dealt well.

    First was clearly dropping in top right corner, jumped up and pushed away- outstanding save, second point blank shot going in jumped up and hit him full-on - good effort.

    Did a lot of time wasting the whole game but otherwise Looking good for us lads <ok>

    Thanks for the updates WDWW, sounds a long run in a decent championship side like Ipswich will do him no end of good.

    I've only seen the goal highlights on the Football League show, and he looked a bit hesitant on the goal City had disallowed. Am I judging him harshly on that, WDWW? Glad to hear that he had a good game, anyway.

    Thats a fair call Cap, I think it was a typical example of hesitating in the hope of an off-side call (which luckily for them the assistant flagged in their favour)

    Thanks for the clarification, WDWW. Do you get down to see City often? I lived in Bristol for a couple of years in the mid 90s, and I was an occasional visitor to Ashton Gate. It was towards the end of Leroy Rosenior's time on the coaching staff if I remember rightly. I've tipped Rovers as my team for League 2 in the prediction competition I do with my eldest, and I feel slightly disloyal in doing so.

    Our first game was the West Brom friendly two last weekend then our first league game on Saturday. I have a friend who is a big City fan you see, so will be going down there a good few times I can imagine this season.

    I will be honest, I don't really know a great deal about either of the Bristol teams as I only moved here a few years back myself, but what I do know is they certainly divide this city into blue and red halves!

    Come on the Gas! Have always loved that as a nickname for a team.
