A lot of folk on this board, me included, would like to see him get a start, especially given our current shortage of left backs. Those against say no he's too young, inexperienced, etc.

England (cricket) have just started a 19-year old at opening bat, against India, in India, presumably because they think he's good enough.

Is that the problem with Tymon, he just isn't good enough?

Opinion on here isn't as valid as opinion from those who see him train and Play at the club.

If he's good enough, including his mentality, he'd play.

Yes, you'd hope that was the case. Opinion on here is interesting though, it is a discussion board.

If he was going to get a start, it would have happened already, it will be Clucas at left back again tomorrow.

    Don't think he will start in a 3-5-2 but maybe a 4-4-2

I've seen him several times over the last year or so (in the U21 / U23 / development teams as well as his few first team appearances). He has done well at times and OK at other times. Probably not up to Premier League standard (in my opinion) just yet - but don't forget he is still only 17. There is plenty of time for him to progress.

Reckon he is being kept under wraps for commercial reasons.

Maybe protecting him at a young age from the potential criticism and abuse given to Premier League players.

Well, I've got my wish, surprised it's in this game though away from home. Anyway, good luck to the lad.

Indeed, I think it's a very odd decision.

And we're all glad he did. Still makes it an odd decision.

Solid, dependable, didn't look excellent, but that looked like it could have been his 50th league appearance for us, not his first.

He should be in the team now and Robertson can take the vacant left wing spot upon his return.

He had some praise from Neil McCann on commentary. He was at fault for the second goal (he couldn't get tight enough to close down) before Marshall's poor attempt at saving it.

It wasn't the perfect performance but it wasn't a disaster.

They were getting past him too easily and he lost the ball far too often going forward, he was being targeted second half and that's why he was pulled.
