That's the spirit luv! On a more serious note Tadic is a very good player but not for where you want to be.
I prefers luvs thinking Plus, as I said on here before. Can't see your board shelling out £40-50m+ on a cb
Philippe Coutinho is a fitness doubt for Liverpool's Premier League clash at Southampton on Saturday. #lfc (James Pearce)
Shouldn't be fitness unless he got injured. He played 80mins 2am Wed morning GMT. Surely just jetlag that's the issue
If Countinho is not fit to plays against Southampton it's sad, but I do not think we are one man team.
Doesn't look like it'll be a serious injury if Couts is out, with him unlikely to play anyway due to the travel so maybe a blessing in disguise, luckily for the first time we have quality to come in to the team when needed.
Jurgen Klopp struck a cautionary note at Melwood. Liverpool may be sitting pretty at the top of the Premier League table but the manager knows there is a sizeable hurdle to clear at St Mary’s on Saturday. Klopp’s admiration for Claude Puel’s Southampton side is coupled with the fact that the Reds’ preparations have been far from ideal. It was only on Thursday afternoon that his full squad reconvened at Melwood - just 24 hours before they fly to the South Coast. Klopp says it’s unrealistic to believe that the Reds can hit the same glorious heights against Saints that they reached when they demolished Watford 6-1 a fortnight ago. This could be one of those days when Liverpool have to dig deep to grind out a result. “We can’t be the same team we were before the international break,” Klopp said. “When we play our best then we are much more difficult to play against than Southampton can imagine. But for this one, I don’t know. “I haven’t seen all my players until now. The Brazilian players only got back on Wednesday night. “It’s the same situation for all the other teams too. Southampton had a lot of players who were on the road too so it’s no advantage, no disadvantage. After international breaks it’s a special situation. “We’ve had some really good games this season. Everybody should be able to see we’ve been working together and that’s been the case up until now. It was good but the important word in this sentence is ‘was’. “Then we had 10 days break with players all around the world and then coming back in different situations - long flights, intensive games. “It will be difficult against Southampton but not impossible. The challenge is to come together immediately and get back on the right track.” Klopp has been impressed by the job Puel has done at Southampton since the Frenchman took over from Everton-bound Ronald Koeman last summer. Liverpool bought Sadio Mane off Saints for £30million and they also lost Victor Wanyama and Graziano Pelle. But they recruited wisely and Puel has guided them to 10th in the table. “The biggest surprise for me this season has been Southampton,” Klopp said. “They have done an unbelievable job. We have a very good team and four of our players came from Southampton. A few other clubs have used them too. They had to replace a very good manager and they made a perfect decision. They had to replace Sadio Mane and (Nathan) Redmond was quite a good choice. They kept (Dusan) Tadic and they are a good team. “We have watched three of their games. Results wise they were not that good for different reasons but the performance was always good, even when they lost to Chelsea. “My respect for Southampton couldn’t be bigger for the job they do. Their scouting is obviously really good. But we want to go there and win, not celebrate their wonderful scouting department. “We know what we have to do. Southampton is the next hurdle to jump over.”
If we want the highest price in the league, we must overcome situation like this. Missing two of our regular players Lallana and Countinho is going to be difficult, but I hope it's manageable , Lallana has played all the league games this season and did vey well. Our little magician Coutinho is also a problem. Cheer up mates, every thing under control
Southampton v Liverpool: Compare the key players http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/243614-southampton-v-liverpool-compare-the-key-players
Kinda don't like the thought of being chased at the top of the league so early on. Not that I'm complaining. Couts out is a great test for us. Sturridge and Mane up top with Firm and Div available, not bad, not bad.
Yep. The big test is going away to the tough mid table teams who see beating LFC as a big prize. Even wiith a full team it will have been hard to get a win but with injuries, fitness doubts, etc then getting all the 3 points will be huge and indicate us as one of the title favourites. We can do it and after the weekend we could be top on our own (witha bit of luck with the other matches).
Yeah, we've done well to take points off the teams around us. We'll drop some between now and the half way mark, as long as we stop City winning...the other teams will chip points off of each other and drop points in other games too. Just hope that we have a good November for once and December isn't disastrous.
