Why is it that no matter how poor our performances get... and how dull and uninspiring Simons tactics get, and how pitiful and cheap our new signings get, we (including myself) are made to feel like we are idiots if we think the sooner we see the back of Grayson the better.

I would like to see him go for more reasons than I can remember....
1)Week in week out ridiculour 4-5-1 formation ( even at home!!),
2)like for like substitutions when it wasn't working for the last 75 mins.... etc.
    3) Bringing on strikers with 2 mins on the clock when we need a goal !!
    4) the same old excuses... I can't understand it, they did the right this in training, and didn't today ..(Wake up simon thats because there is no other team in training!!)
    5) We need to work on our defence... HOW LONG DO YOU NEED ???
    6) Bringing in numptys and poor excuses for players.. over and over again.. and passing them off as decent players (granted there are a few exceptions but even he has got to get lucky at some point)

They are all down to Grayson, not Bates.. he doesnt pick the formation or coach the team.

In summary call me what you like, but I saw this result coming (I think most leeds supporters did), and honestly expect us to struggle this season. We ARE weaker than last season thats a fact. In fact the majority of this seasons so called first team squad couldn't even get a game last season and were shipped out on loan... are we supposed to believe they all suddenly came good ?. Well I for one don't buy it

I hope I'm wrong, but come on, deep down you all know Simons out of his depth and it's just a matter fo time, I just don't rate him, nice guy... hasn't got a clue what he is doing. This is not a knee jerk, he should have gone last season when results went south and I have had my doubts about him for a long time.

And before you say it (who are we going to have instead?), I dont know, but thats not a good enough reason to persevere with this set up.

It's down to Bates. Bates clearly doesn't allow Grayson any freedom. He's put him under pressure to get promoted on **** all money, probably because "if blackpool can do it so can we", even though that was the most unlikely event of the century. It's the definition of against all odds. Because of the pressure he is under from his boss and the flak he takes as a result of not being allowed more freedom in the transfer market, he's under further pressure from the fans. This forces him to try and downplay expectations that he feels he is unable to fulfil. The stress and frustration at being very limited in what he is allowed to do is getting to him and making him lose focus, so he's not performing at his best. It's starting to show in his interviews and the lack of cohesion in the squad. Negativity is like a virus, it spreads very very fast. The source of it will be Grayson, who won't feel he is able to lead the team to promotion with the squad he currently has, but hasn't been able to improve it in the ways he likes.

The players will also be losing confidence in the ambition of the club, due to Gradel's contract not being sorted out, and the apparent inability to bring in any transfer targets, due to Bates' restrictions. No matter what Larry says in interviews about the spirit around training being a good one, I reckon they are all bricking it. Grayson won't be able to think straight half the time I should think, due to the amount of pressure he is now under.

Maybe thats true, but last season did we really need big signings..?

We got to 2nd in the league than threw it all away with the same team after a disasterous run of results (far worse than what got Mcallister sacked!!), thats not Bates fault (incidently thats what happened the season before - almost)

So are you saying Larry was lying when he told us Schmiecal went so the team could be improved ? ;-()

and did Bates pick Lonergan or Rackuba (or whoever) or Bessone or Clayton or Paynter, or Mckormack... I can't for a second imagine Bates wanting to buy a player that we are going to pay to get splinters in his backside.?

These are all Grayson signings. I'm sorry but although I do feel Bates is partly to blame for lack of ambition and not stumping up the cash, I have to say I wouldn't trust Larry to spend my money either.....

It is Bates' fault but only because he sacked McAllister and appointed Grayson.

These idiots are convinced I'm the only person who is critical of Grayson and I'm stupid to think that he's poor.

The thing is Leeds fans aren't loyal, they're the most fickle fans around. They'll turn on players and management at the drop of a hat. Yet for some reason, no matter what he does, Grayson can do no wrong.

And why does everyone say Grayson is a nice guy? He doesn't seem like a nice guy to me. He seems like a **** who blames everyone but himself and stifiles quality.

Grayson's done a good job overall, regardless of Clivetime's mindless comments about McAllister being better (when that's easily proved wrong). However, he needs to improve certain things, and his preparation for this season has been crap.

His tactics are poor, he doesn't seem to know how he wants to play. His signings are awful.

Whilst I think he deserves this season atleast, he needs to change somethings quickly.

How? I said he's done a good job overall. But he has to improve to continue doing a good job.

The signings have been poor from day one, the tactics have been poor from day one.

Results like yesterday happened at some of the worst sides in League 1.

Being tactically inept and poor in the transfer market is not doing a good job!

And if he'd done a good job overall, why would he need to improve!

jumping the gun a little bit guys...come on

First game of the season and a good time to look at where we need improvement. This shows we need a striker, and a CM at least. I honestly do believe that if O'Dea was not playing, each one of those 3 goals would not have been conceded the way they were, not saying we wouldnt have conceded just how soft the goals were, especially the first 2

Its a bit of a poor start (im really understating that) but i still do think we have a better squad than last year and i do think this puts into perspective what needs to be done to the team, we need a striker and need becchio back as soon as possible
