With respect, I think the issue is more that HIAG screams blue murder when he's the subject of the banter, but finds it acceptable to post pictures like this.

It's the double standards that piss people off. If he just rolled with instead of acting like a bitch and calling for people to be banned, I think people wouldn't give him such a hard time.

I don't think anyone objected to taking the piss out of anyone or anything but surely there are boundaries to what is a joke and what isn't, especially portraying child sex regardless whether its rife or not in that particular country.

I mean what is the so called boundaries for one of the most liberal forum? I might be wrong but I think for instance pornography isn't allowed for instance on this "Liberal Forum"? so in comparison are you trying to say doing images of child sex banter isn't as bad as pornography really?

The funny thing is though there are people excusing this as banter yet moaning about people taking the piss out of HIAG as bullying on one of the most "Liberal Forum"....you can't have it both ways...

Really? So if someone did an image of gang rape as banter, you would accept that its just an image someone did as banter or would that be worse than portraying child sex as banter.....

I doubt anyone is getting up tight about, instead showing the hypocrisy of the users that claim bullying and accept some other ****e and excuse it with it being "Liberal Forum" or "its only the internet".....

You are making an assumption about me and people say "Assumption is the mother of all **** ups" so don't assume.

So because of your affiliation with HIAG, you are willing to accept an image of something that portrays child sex, because he will probably be able to explain it and put it in context, even though you don't know that but you still don't see anything wrong with these sorts of things. I wonder if you would accept some gang rape image as banter as well because the user might be able to put it in context, even though the user at the time hasn't put any context to it!

I don't have any affiliation to any users on this site, I make jokes with others and they do the same and the thing is I don't even post that often here and if I see something wrong I will say it regardless who the user is I don't do blind affiliation to any users!

The worse thing is though this isn't even football banter as you put it!

You make some fair points ... in particular, I too have found it wryly amusing that some have gone around wailing about the 'bullying' and 'clan mentality' directed at HIAG which has oh so cruelly led to his self imposed exile within the relative safety of the Spud board ... even more funny is the argument that 'they're only pictures on an internet forum' when it's combined with an admission of not being arsed to read the contents of posts that might explain why the reaction to the 'funny images' etc has been what it has been ...

Now a reality check ... HIAG and Saints,when getting 'their' arses kicked (which has happened a lot recently), have a tendency to react with ill thought out response 'tactics' that, at the very least, tread along the boundaries of acceptability ... the Thailand thread is there for one purpose -... it's aimed at particular individuals and with a particular inference - created by Saints and, just in case you are too thick to get it , confirmed beyond all doubt by a HIAG masteclass cartoon... and it's not humourous, it's not banter ... .if those two are not the same person they have remarkable similarities in how they react to 'pressure'...

Finally - let's dispell another myth ... the one that proclaims that HIAG is having a ball getting everything he wants ... no he's not - he's hovering around this board giving the odd like to the usual suspects but he has, for all intents and purposes, left the village where he used to be so gainfully employed with the laughter of the majority of its' inhabitants ringing in his ears .... he went to the 'headmaster' telling tales out of school and instead of getting exclusions for the kids he doesn't like was told to pull his shorts up, stop fibbing and grow a pair ... can't help but find it all very funny.tbh

 

I wouldn't have posted it ... I know what you are trying to say ... and I have a degree of sympathy for the princile you are trying to make ... but the fact is you would not excuse racism (neither would I) nor anti-semitism (again neither would I) and no matter how anyone tried to justify a cartton containing such inferences as being 'just a bit of banter' you wouldn't see it that way ... and that's reality.

Your point about reacting to the poster has merit ... but it's true for both his detractors and supporters .. not just the former.

I actually take everything with a pinch of salt, and certainly don't support or detract anyone on a ****ing forum.
