As a Brid born lad I only want one result..... Sorry lads but it's Toon all the way for me. Hope the game is a spectacle of fantastic support from both sets of fans and more importantly a fitting trubute to Speedo. A prince amongst men.
This is going to be a real challenge, tough game as I think they'll walk the division. Hope the international break hasn't wrecked our momentum (but ****ed theirs), hope also our youngsters don't freeze from the pressure of a packed ER but for some reason I have the same feeling as against Norwich and think we are going to (very) narrowly nick this one. Don't know why, just feel this is a season that we lay hoodoos to rest
Evening all, I cannot get on board with the whole season defining match, is it worth more than the standard 3 points for a win 1 for a draw. As long as the lads give a good accounting of themselves a negative result would not be the end of the world. A positive result would be a giant boost but there is a long way to go. Out of curiosity who is going? Also where are you guys meeting? Im meeting up with people there to sit with but would rather have a beer with anyone else.
Waiting on jock to get in touch to confirm.. eire and i will be in wetherspoons at 10.30.. Likely to be in the peacock before the game, into town after.... Will let you know when its firmed up. Olof and the paddies are off to the salters.
Still waiting for wj to surface after last friday night so dont know. Starting to think eire might have plane tickets for nothing!
Morning Hemase. The reason it's potentially season defining is that it'll be a clear indication of whether or not we've genuinely progressed. A win, a draw or a loss after a good overall performance will show real progress. However, were we to lose badly (3+ v 0), Monk ill have a lot of work to do for us to make the play offs.
I'd agree if we hadn't beaten Norwich but in my opinion, even a 3-0 defeat won't dampen my spirits, if I can't find wj with my match ticket, that will though
Don't worry about me. I am sure I can find a way in even if we have been set up in a brilliantly executed wind up...... .
If the chips are down on sunday i will remember that. It will be every man for himself. Olof with a 12.15 kickoff we are only going to be in the peacock pre game. You meet for a couple in billys after? Then maybe head into town to get fat paddy back on the train to manchester.
