Loved Jethro Tull, Neil Young, Poco, America, Loggins and Messina, Leonard Cohen, most of the accustic/West Coast rock thing. My main interest was in the early Dylan and from that USA folk scene with Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger, Leadbelly, Rick Von Schmidt, Ramblin Jack Elliott, Dave Van Ronk. But my happiest memories are hitchhiking over to the Keswick folk festival listening to Lindisfarne Together Forever on the radio, happy days.

You have put some cracking names up there mate, most of the time back then, I was seeing fairgrounds that could completely turn into dark and obscure things if you get my drift? Strawberries were my favourite and I was quite partial to the California Sunshine. One of my favourite ever albums was 'Teaser and the Firecat', Cat Stevens, the 'how can I tell you' track is up there in my all time best. Listening to Dylan at the mo, on a 24 hour fast, have a Colonoscopy tomorrow at 12.30pm, the buggars have found something in my Colon by CT Scan. Probably explain all the pain in the right hand side recently. I will be back though, love these music chats.. btw, do you remember a very good band from the early 70's called 'Three man Army'?

Spent the last 5 years looking after the wonderful two, sort of neglected myself and niggling pains. Kicked off about 3 months ago coughing up blood but tests proved fruitless. A clever doctor scanned a bit lower from the chest and bingo so it's me on the table tomorrow. Hate these laxatives though and no food.. Just gone from Rolling Stone to Sarah, the man was a genius, lyrically the best ever..
Ah the levis, I used to buy them and cut the outside seam just below the knee and sew in any crazy material to loon pant them. Those were the days, had a pink denim dress jacket embroided in Cisco flowers.. <smile>
I think a lot of things were edited for TV mate, I worked photographing 'The Adverts' in 1977, it was all hype but very listenable hype for me, progressive rock had gone heavy metal and punk was breath of fresh air music needed back then..

The coach and eight hell I spent many a night in there Joe I also loved Dunhelm house where we all met seen some cracking bands down in the basement and did some naughty things to our lass under them stairs when she came to see me I loved a band called Wild Turkey and a young lad called Keith Christmas who used to play bottle neck using just sellotape round his fingers.
Johny Winters version of Jumping jack flash was the best i have heard especially the intro bloody brilliant have a listen got to be loud though lol.
The original line up of Jethro Tull were the best ever imo, up there with Peter Green, as is the Dylan love song, "mystical lady with arrow and bow" bang on, hope it works out for you Joe mate, cheers.
