Not mackem related but a Warm Glow nonetheless.

Remembrance Day over the Town this morning.
Bloody cold, but warmed up suitably with my oldest Son marching in the parade through town, with the 'Geordie Cavalry'. <ok>

    This article tickled me:

    http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport...t_set_of_circumstances_he_would_take_the_job/

Talk about sticking the boot in. There must be something in this basket case description though because I recalled this article in the summer.

    http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/spor...yce-inherited-sunderland-basket-case-11652685

The journos don't seem to have a lot of time for Sunderland.

Now I await some member of the PC brigade to come along and tell me the phrase basket case offensive...like the basket case they are. I'll just head any such loons off at the pass

    http://www.thefreedictionary.com/basket case

I've had this before. Some twat at a place I used to work once reported me for using the phrase "Brainstorming" in a meeting. I thought it was a wind up. I knew who it was and supposedly they reported it because they had a friend who an epileptic son. I kid you not. Needless to say I refused to apologise.

So are they saying its a badly run organisation or full crackpots? <laugh> I admit they are run in a crazy fashion (we know all about that) but I wouldn't put survival beyond them unlike this guy. Their season has only just started going on recent years.

<laugh><laugh><laugh> I hope Bri is just having a laugh and not actually subscribing to this PC nonsense. He doesn't seem to have taken the criticism well. Cameron must be sitting pissing himself with laughter. For some reason this reminds me of some jokes I was told about great dating site usernames - "Back on the meds doing better" or "Done with incarceration ready to date"

It is a basket case of a club. i.e. a financial cess pit <ok>

Of course I'm taking the piss, He an old mag Journo and it's Twitter ffs <doh><laugh> (You should see what I did to Steve Brookstein and Stan Collymore, both bit then blocked me)<laugh> Cameron didn't dispute the context in fact he reinforced it. So we all know what he meant. Only a dozy twat would bring up the dictionary when it's clear thje context. Oh wait. :emoticon-0136-giggl That gave me an angle.

Was that you who posted screenshot definitions? He sharp shut up too.

For somebody who's pissing himself with laughter he's done a cracking job withdrawing and hiding. Tried to bring up PDC and AJ but had absolutely nothing in reply to good reasoning. I showed him up. He's shied away from his journalistic belief after engaging and biting. You an Albert would out with the angling photography, you've played that card for a hell of a lot less. He was just easy pickings in fun world of twitter while I had a spare hour.

Most of what i do online is for effect when it comes to wumming, it's funny after all this time you haven't realised that. I admit I manipulate situations using outrage as a platform. It's fun and gives people I think are arseholes grief. ;)

Nah I just had read the article getting stuck into Sunderland and checked his twitter for any further comment. I noted the responder tag not taking well to his criticism and assumed it could only be you. As I say I just assumed you were not going down the route of the PC brigade on the use of basket case. I'd obviously rinsed this in an earlier post after my past experiences with people trying to jump on any phrase for some kind of rage. Not my cup of tea.

Whatever the bit about Albert and me above doesn't really read right, so hard to know what you're on about. I don't play any cards. I just play and have no intention of growing up

To be fair he just seems quite happy to engage in back and forth. I'd imagine he has gone quiet as he won't want an ongoing thing or his bosses to see him getting involved. To be fair anyone is going to use the fascist and ***** angles but it is a bit strange a journo would jump on it. Rightly or wrongly, its just a fact the club keeps finding new ways to shoot itself in the foot (much like ourselves in previous years). It would be alright if there was progress on the pitch or Ellis was actually running it correctly on the management/first team front. I still reckon you's might get out of this hole mind. As funny as it would be, I still like the derbies.

Of course, all part of the back fourth fun of Twitter. I know my club is mess, but it's it's hard not to **** with celebs and Journo's when so many can't help but engage back. It's a ****s and giggles playground. Different angles for different people. Always for fun, as like you. I reuse to grow up. ;)

More of a concern is he wants Moyes <laugh> Couldn't blame him for your current predicament but I don't think he'll do it for you. His football is just so turgid. I don't think the Sunderland fans will have the patience for that ****e. Never understand it, football to a fan is about enjoyment. Strange these managers don't try to deliver it.

Ellis is typical business minded American. They don't have the stones for perseverance, they have a fire to fix attitude. Short will get rid of Moyes off his own back regardless of the fans imo. I wouldn't sack him, like Big Sam he'll install a spine given time and it won't be pretty. But that spine is essential so sacrifices on entertainment must be made for me. But we won't stick with him and I doubt he'll see the season out and I'll doubt we'll get the funds needed in Jan. If we go down though we won't recoup the sort of money you lot did and I won't invest in a team that will piss that league. We go down and we could be out of the big leagues for decades.

It's hard to entertain fans when the team is incapable of even doing the basics. Investment needed to change that, many windows of investment. I want some Adams/Fletcher/Noble/Walters attitudes in our squad as a priority. These types of players are never going to entertain much, but they're the sort of spine we need, hard working warriors who lead with their attitudes. Get few of those in your squad and you can start developing an entertaining squad. We're so far from that stage it's scary. Can't help feeling this is our year and there's just the one 'basket case' at the core of our problems. Short isn't a malicious man but he can't run a football club for ****.

That's it I don't think he is like Mike in that some of it is done with malice or at the very least with selfish interests. Short seems genuinely clueless in running a football club and employing the right people in the right roles. Ashley can only part claim that. Bottom line is both are entirely responsible and that is where the buck stops.

Mike may be finally getting it right, but its been almost 10 yrs of pain to get to this point. You still could not trust him.
