Honestly, that wasn't obvious, If Saints fans can claim they are as big as you anything else they happen to say a bit iffy ....
Well considering Tobes' claim that Everton made a deal to buy the docks in August then yes there really should only be one option. However, he also claimed that the deal would be announced after a couple of weeks. It wasn't. Then he claimed it would be announced at the Stadium Design & Development Summit in October. It wasn't. Now he's claimed it will be announced at the Everton AGM on 23 November.
As far as Everton fans are concerned they must be getting anxious with the wait so any upcoming event, like those you mention, would seem a likely time for an announcement to be made. It's sure to be a complicated process but posting pictures of the site visits has only served to invite conjecture.
Not really concerned in fact the most concerned in the land is Astro although you could replace concerned with obsessed as both apply lol
Of course that's more important to me and all of us as well - but this is the 'new stadium' thread so we're allowed a bit of transference
The date appears to have slipped a little, however IF you were planning to announce a move to a new stadium then when better than at the AGM. Moshiri needs to deliver more than interesting soundbites.
If the stadium deal is ready the only reason to wait until the AGM would be to distract shareholder attention from any "expenses" you don't want to be questioned over
Not really sure what you are on about. As he is the largest single shareholder he will only have to really answer to himself really.....maybe Bill and Woods and Grantchaster.... Who knows, they may even pay out a dividend
I would hope so given their £103m surplus in the last transfer window and blatant attempts to raise money from Lukaku
I said the deal was done in mid August. I expected it to be announced shortly afterwards, it wasn't. The comments about the stadium design summit being the potential arena they might choose for an announcement was purely conjecture on my part. I've never mentioned it being announced on the 23rd Nov, as I didn't even know the AGM was on the 23rd Nov - it seems you do however I stand by what I said about the deal for the land being agreed back in August - subject to planning consent.
Slipped a little based on what though, since the only timescales have been from the conjecture I mentioned earlier and not from any official club source - as far as I know from my scant readings in the local news.
My comment was based on information given by tobes. If it's announced at the AGM, brilliant. If it's not announced until everything is in place, brilliant. My mind always is drawn back to Big joe and his wish for a CG bid partner........
