    That is a lot of away matches...

    Bruce has started well though, at this level he's very good. Still plenty of games to go but even if it doesn't happen this season I doubt there's many better to launch a fresh challenge next year. Just noticed your sig though - you also follow Sunderland? Boo.

    I actually like Sunderland, but SAFC in my signature does not mean Sunderland.

    RFC : Rangers FC
    SAFC : Scarborough Athletic FC

    SAFC was founded in 2007 as the successor to Scarborough FC and currently plays in the Northern Premier League, Division One North, which is at Level 8, Step 4, in the Football Pyramid.

    That was a good performance from AVFC, just a pity to lose the lead, albeit to a very good goal. Despite that setback, I could not see us losing this game. This result sees AVFC 13th in the table tonight.

    That was a disappointing result in a match where AVFC were fully in the game until Leeds scored their opener. Both of Leeds' goals were from breakaways too, which underlined the even nature of this match. This result sees AVFC drop to 15th in the table.

    04/12/2016 : Something of a bogey team are Wigan Athletic. I will never forget that opening day defeat in 2009, I and I reckon everyone from MON down, was gobsmacked. It was totally unexpected. Let there be no repeat on Saturday !
    On League form the records are even : Won 5, Drawn 6, Lost 5, ... AVFC has 3 League Cup wins too.

    Going by the SSN live match commentary, the goal attempts were 1st half 9-2, 2nd half 4-4, totalling 13-6 in favour of AVFC. I have seen Jack Grealish's 88th minute winner, a well taken goal, to get a deserved win. This result lifts AVFC to 12th with 28 points. The table range is now up to 6th and down to 17th.
