Scored a trademark freekick tonight after starting for Sweden and playing 65mins. I expect him to come in for Pienaar on Sat in what else will be an unchanged lineup. Whod be glad to see him back?
Loads of experience, hell do for me after all that's why Moyes bought Pinear because of his experience.
I'm just glad we will have him back as him and Pienaar are similar enough for him to slot in. Not sure if Seb has the energy levels that the other does though.
Should be a sub at least. Hull lost another striker for a year (sadly) the other day, but we need all the help we can get.
I can't recall the last time he scored a free kick for us, from one year to the next he lost his touch and that was that. I'd play him if we were really short on options but he's not that good. Him and Rodwell are on a par probably.
Ok but if he hasn't scored one for five years it doesn't mean anything. Plus we've got PVA and Khazri who both take a canny free kick.
That simply cannot be true his free kicks are ****ing awful. He used to pop them in for Birmingham mind I recall.
On conversion ratio he's 2nd in Premier League history. Doesn't mean he can take indirect free kicks or corners though. One of the worst I've ever seen in my life for a so called 'specialist'. His delivery has been massively overrated his whole career. He's the 'can't beat the first man' king.
Was gonna find the stat but statman is on the case! Aye they were talking about it on radio the other day - his dead ball delivery used to be very good corners etc. then he joined SAFC...
If his recent surgery helps him get his free kicks back on form then I'll be happy - apparently he has been suffering form this long standing knee problem for quite a while (why the **** we cant give players the surgery they need straight away I've got no ****ing clue). He is not a world beater, but is a very good player to have back in the team imo and if he can play 70minutes that would be great - then bring Gooch on.
