<laugh> tell that to Saints fans -
''I am very happy to be here. I started a contract in Southampton and I like to respect my contract and the people,''

''I have the contract for two years more. I have to respect my contract''.

I'm sure being made the highest paid manager in history for any club that hasn't won a trophy in a decade was entirely coincidental

I know but if you consider the full extent of Everton's drought then there's no chance of any other manager competing, so the fact that Koeman is also one of the highest paid managers in the world becomes irrelevant <ok>

He left the year after that comment, when Soton wanted him to commit to a new contract and he chose not to.

They didn't want their manager running his contract out and he had a better offer on the table. Soton got £5m for their trouble...

All of which has no bearing on his level of honesty when talking about the game in any case.

For the record I like Koeman and think he will do well for you but don't claim he's always honest because he hasn't always been. If you think that's a wind up you must get wound up very easily <laugh>

Every club has to have a chance to turn things around surely?
Every manager as well (Brown shoes had plenty of time IMO)

Fair play to you guys you took a manager that made a decent team flirt with relegation but as he fluked a cup win at another club his failures were ignored
An overated manager who almost got the 2nd best team in a 2 horse race relegated bottled it and ran away! Even took a year to recover from his meltdown?
You took him and gave him a chance?

Surely we can give Koeman a chance eh Astro<cheers>

Jan 2016 - ''Everyone knows I am very happy at Southampton, with still one year left on my contract. I will continue in Southampton''.

You said ''is an honest manager'' no mention of 'when talking about the game' <whistle>

The context was about him talking about the game mate, come on <laugh> His assessments are honest and refreshingly so after 3 years of phenomenal

Soton fans claim he would have seen that contract out btw, it was the club who said sign a new one or leave. Whether that's true is a matter of conjecture.
