The Allams greed has finally caught up with them. Lee seems to be the only real contender left and now holds the power in negotiations. Hopefully the Allams will see sense and move on
As somebody said already it needs somebody to take the bull by the horns and be firm with the arseholes Basically take the offer or risk losing alot of profit by rejecting Hooooopefully the consortium win through this game of poker Did somebody say the take it or leave it had a timescale if so how long? And totally agree if this falls through big fan protests need to happen
OLM, when you say they're the only serious bidder. What does that actually mean about the others. Or the Hong Kong lot anyway. Why would they be bidding in a non-serious way? Why bother if they can't afford it?
It's not unusual for a Chinese company to agree a deal and then make a song and dance about it, in hope that they can generate enough interest from investors to actually complete the deal. I've seen nothing to suggest that they're anywhere near doing that, I don't think the Allams have either.
I thought from earlier posts that there was a filthy rich investor interested.. and that he was the one connected with Pearson .. is this no longer the case then or have things been confused along the line somewhere .. understandable given the amount of so called interested parties
Chien Lee owns 2,000 hotels, I suspect he's got a few quid. Actually, he might not now, I think he might have flogged them.
So can I take it he is the filthy rich chap we were all drooling over then many pages back .. and not as suggested anyone connected with Pearson ?
What you are seeing here is investment vehicles from the Far East making opportunities in the hope they can then pitch them to those with the money to make the deal. Anyone read the story of the manure agents who pitched up in Spain (Italy?) with a deal to sell a prominent player. Manure denied they had anything to do with them, but you can bet of the Spanish club took the bait they'd be back in England pitching an incredible opportunity to the player and manure... It's all about little weasels making connections and hoping one sparks. There's a lot of money in some places and it has to settle somewhere. We are seeing the middle men play for the adoption rights.
In acquisitions and takeover there are numerous counter offers and discussions regarding price because pricing a business is so subjective. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
If anyone's interested, which you're prob not, takeover finally went through on FM17 at the end of the 17/18 season at the 5th attempt, sold to a consortium headed by some Latvian guy for £230M quid! I hope to **** that Ehab isn't expecting that much
