Ok Ron, the bet of the year. I should be listed on the forum's roll of honour for this. :)

1000 on Ortiz at 1-20 BetFred.

4 on Scott at 14-1 NetBet.

ArkleSupreme will be so proud of me. <laugh>

Edit, please scrub the Scott bet Ron, what's the use?

A huge fight coming up next weekend when Kovalev defends his WBA, IBF & WBO belts against Ward. I don't know who'll win, but I'll try to squeeze a small profit on what hopefully will be a Krusher victory. I'm not saying I don't like Ward either, I'm just trying to turn a buck. :)

200 Kovalev by KO, TKO or DQ. Sportingbet are offering 9-4.
150 Ward by Decision or Technical Decision. PaddyPower have him at 6-5.

    Thanks mate. <cheers>

Cyc, Just to clarify, as I'm not up with boxing odds
Does "Ward by Decision or Technical Decision." mean if Ward wins?
Does "Kovalev by KO, TKO or DQ" mean if Kovalev wins other than by points?

Yep Ron. To win my Ward bet, he has to win on points. If the fight is stopped early by accidental head clash or something, Ward has to be in front on points. Same after 12 rounds.

The only way way I can lose on Kovalev is on points. Either by early stop or after 12 rounds.

A draw and I'm dead in the water.

What if Ward wins by ko? Is that not a decision?

The tech decision can go both ways, depending upon the way the bout was stopped Ron. If a fighter is stopped by a foul and can't go on, he wins. If he's stopped by an accidental incident, it goes to the score cards after I think 4 rounds. Who ever is in front wins.

Exactly, if Ward kos Kovalev, I'm toast. Ward is a better boxer, while Kovalev is the better fighter. If one is to win by knockout, it should be Kovalev. If it's decided on points, it should be Ward. As I think Krusher will win, I've bet to get the profit by him by ko, with Ward on points to just cover the bet.

Here's hoping I have not pulled the wrong rein. <laugh>

Wow, Ward on points, but it was a close old affair. A 150 on Ward by points at 6-5, at least it's a return. :)
