It would give the board a good laugh. Would get the board meeting off to a very merry start hearing about £25m, let alone £20m, bids on England's top striker with 3.5 years on his contract. I'm chuckling a little bit at the thought of it.
I'd have said EPL if that's what I had meant. National team. I wouldn't put him alongside Costa, Aguero or Ibrahimovic at the moment.
England's top striker? ... is he the English striker on the Ballon d'Or list? ... I'd heard there was one on the list
Are you basing your assessment on goals scored? Can't see him in the leading scorers list in the league or for England, Harry's got lots of potential but lacks consistency and his injuries haven't helped, if he keeps at it he might get up there with the best. Good luck to the lad.
Sorry, should have added IMO. He has had a poor return whilst injured, I'll give you that. Might want to direct your comment to Fosse if we are relying on the 3 months of this season only
There is no objective measure of this stuff. I wouldn't swap Kane for Vardy (even if they were the same age). So I don't see a better English striker around.
Plenty more to a strikers game than scoring goals these days. It's why Vardy is on the Ballon d'Or shortlist and Kane isn't. Nothing wrong with scoring loads of tap ins. It shows superb instinct and positioning. But the very best strikers affect the game for 90 minutes rather than the split second that they're needed to knock it in.
This! Anyone who thinks this isn't a ploy by Levy to test the water if there's a potential bidding war, is living in cloud cuckoo land. It's classic Levy. As Chaz and Dave once sang... Daniel Levy, A little dodgy maybe But underneath He's alriiiight
Think it was The Firm that sang that song trebs, it was about Arfur Dayley, Chas and Dave sang a more apt song with regards to 'Arry "there ain't no leaving you".
Nah, Arfur and Tel were Fulham supporters, plus Levy doesn't were a trilby or sell knock off Telly's.
He's in it for a quick earner. That's the mark of all spivs. Granted, Arfur had some charisma. Whereas Levy has all the personality of a constipated foghorn.
