You mean I've read the first sentence of the role... after people were asking if he could or couldn't bite last night and answered the question?

If if I could be bothered I'd go back to the last game thread and find out if they could bite or night first night there no assume same rules apply this game though

 

Be interesting to hear if anyone has any ideas following deaths then.

Unfortunately it was the vet that killed both after being attacked rather than Mafia actually killing anyone.

Sorry I am late.....new child and that.
Night 1 ended exactly as it normally does, piss poorly and lots of innocent deaths.
I am vanilla town by the way.
Need to re read the rules to see what I am and am not allowed to say here.....so bare with me.

Had a thought about the vamp which may alter the assumption that it was inactive (if allowed to bite on night 1) and that is if vamp had targeted Jurgen . The order of events is
1. Lynching occurs

2. Jailer acts

3. Vampire acts

4.Mafia acts

5. Vampire hunter acts

6. Recruitment occurs

7. Investigations occur

so if vamp targeted jurgen he would already be dead & vamp would lose bite if (and it is a huge IF) i have understood the rules.

"The arsonist (neutral)

The arsonist is a nutjob. He will each night douse someone in petrol. That person will be told that they were doused.
The arsonist may at a night of his choosing light the match and incinerate all of his victims. nobody will be doused that night."

That bit in bold suggests to me that the person who gets doused is told about it but it isn't necessarily revealed in the nighttime report. So I don't think we can read into the lack of notice at nightfall that the arsonist is inactive.

Likewise with the vampire, the wording isn't clear whether the vampire can try to bite on night one or if it starts on night two. "Every second night" sounds more like it starts from night two even though I'd think it made more sense to start at night one. So I don't think we can assume the vampire is one of the inactives either.

As much as it would be great if we had already got 2 of the bad roles within only a few people, I think we are barking up the wrong tree.

 

Yeah before the game started I thought that if I was the Arsonist (I'm not) I might try that, however I don't think it's the best idea as you don't want to lose a potential kill for the sake of a tiny bit of innocence. The doused person could still be mafia, vamp or executioner so not worth losing a kill in my opinion.

The better option would be to douse someone every night, but if you target someone who is killed (by Mafia, Veteran etc.) so you end up with no douse, THEN the Arsonist should claim that he was doused. So we shouldn't believe everyone who says they were doused...

EDIT: Me being a good player is very much up for debate, depending on what previous games people have been a part of!
I'd say I'm average, I have trust issues and get conned by certain posters pretty easily, that's my big weakness.
There are certainly better players than me, won't say who as they'll get a big head

 

@moreinjuredthanowen Now the Mafioso is dead, does that mean that the Mafia have lost their daily kill? As there's nothing in the rules about anyone else assuming the role?

 

Yep it's possible the vampire, if he was able to bite on night one, targeted someone who died. Though if someone is in the coin toss and has a chance to die you'd think players with actions would avoid going for them incase they die and it's a wasted night.

So it would appear that they can still kill but have lost the ability to clean investigations or last wills.

 

cleaner becomes the Mafioso plus they can recruit to replace

All that being said... It might be nice to see if we can get any kind of input from the people who were inactive on day one, so I think I'll start with an early vote for.... Danilo

I've only not gone for mikey or Bodanki as both have appeared since and posted, though if they don't have further input I might be swayed to jump onto one of them as Danilo was under threat yesterday and still didn't talk up and no-one seemed to try and save him after he was added to the vote late on, except the possible move by the purple dildo adding Jurgen into the mix which would slightly reduce chances of those in the coin toss being killed.

 

And how has that worked out in the past?
