This is the best opportunity we will have for the title for a long time. Never is of course an exaggeration but this will not present itself for a while. There are many things going for us this season:

1. A dynamic new manager getting his players to play his brand of full attacking football

2. He has the full backing of all the fans (and to be fair the media too).

3. We have no European football which whether we like to admit it or not is a huge distraction to any team. See our previous title team and more recently Leicester. Some of the key rivals Arsenal and city will have more crucial matches than us. Like Leicester last season.

4. Some of our rivals are facing uncertainty. The red mancs are disunited and cannot find their best team. And the blue ones are not firing at 100% after a good start. Last season again.

5. The only negative for us if we are honest is Chelsea. A top team without distractions like us. But they have a new manager and could hit the buffers late in the season.

If we don't win it this time we will face the same issues we faced post THAT good season. We will be in Europe and we may lose one or two key players to the likes of Madrid or Barca. And the other rivals will get their act together.

On Chelsea, its an obvious comparison between them and us, the lack of Euro football, and think they've found something that works for them. However alot of their goals are coming from just two players, if Hazard or Costa fall off form or get injured they might go back to dull 0-0's. Not to mention we've already beaten them ourselves, so a nice positive.

For me its about what happens in Citeh's CL, if they get a tough KO game (as they might finish 2nd in the group) it could mean they're back in the running earlier than thought.

For me City will not be a threat. They start strong but collapse at the end of the season. Chelsea seem to be getting stronger and Without European football, like us, they will be our main challengers. Like last season, the team without European football is ultimately king.

How many times have they done that? If you gave that description to Arsenal and Liverpool it would be valid but is harsh to level at City.

I agree that Chelsea are looking like strong contenders.

Disagree (for now). Chelsea are currently in the position Man Utd were some weeks ago. Everything looking to be on the up because they'd played **** all.

The only top teams Chelsea have played are us (we battered them) and Arsenal (who humiliated them).

Let's see how things look after 3 games when they'll play Middlesbrough, Spurs, Man City.

You don't actually watch football do you, you just look at results and oppositions place in the league <laugh>

Chelsea are not the same team you and Arsenal beat, Arsenal are not the same team you beat. They have both made changes to their formation and are looking very good, Arsenal actually have a good squad strength too.

If that's the case then I'm sure the next 3 games will show it

I [HASHTAG]#calledit[/HASHTAG] that Man City were in a [HASHTAG]#falseposition[/HASHTAG] because they'd played no one, and they get destroyed by Spurs

You call everything about other teams, law of averages says you should get some right.
You also call a lot for Liverpool, don't often see you mentioning them calls <laugh>

Chelsea is not the team that we beat, agreed. Since then theyve improved significantly and their turning point seemed to have their demolition of the mancs. They will win most of their matches, as they will have ample time to train. They will have tough matches against a few but they will surely be there and thereabouts. Without Chelsea in their current situation we would have been even stronger favourites.

Christmas will **** it up imo.

We've not got the biggest squad so will we be able to deal worth the high demands during that time?

Add to that the very extreme expectations that Klopp requests and I'm not convinced we will cope with the festive demands.

Edit: plus Mane will be missing not long after too

Jan window could be decisive. In 13/14 we didn't buy a DM (or anyone) when we were all crying out for one. We then went on a brilliant unbeaten stretch and it looked like we'd be proved wrong and then 3 poor defensive displayed cost us. Now not saying that 1 player to strengthen would have won us the title, but just get the feeling that getting 1 or 2 players (LB and cm or winger) could be the difference. Mane will be a huge loss, bit origi seems a ready made replacement there.

I do think studge could be the difference. In games at the end of the season where we may be atrugggling, he's the one player in the team that will snap up a chance and potentially win us that game 1-0.

I said few few weeks back that we could buy in Jan with next year in mind as well. Sign one or two who may not be expected to make impact right away (obv great if they do) but give them 6 months to bed in and then full pre season so next year (on assumption were in Europe) we have a larger squad who are already up to speed with each other And we don't have to buy 5/6 players again in summer and do another massive overhaul.

I wouldn't be happy if it's now or never, I want us up there every season and that is what I hope Klopp is going to bring us. We may fall short this season but it'll be nice going into the new one with a chance again. A real chance and not the usual blind hope.
