What do you all drive on here ?

No bullshitting about your fleet of Mercedes AMG's with real Yeti leather seats etc, but honest answers with your opinions on your motor.

I'm currently driving an Audi allroad on an 03 plate, in its day it would have been a top quality car, but these days it's full of sand and dog hair. It's got a big dent and scrape down one door and I have to thump the front N/S headlamp to get it to work. It does me okay for what I need it for.

What's the best motor you've owned. Include stories about absolute Turkeys too.

Worst car I owned was a ****ty Ford Sierra estate that flooded whenever it rained. It was a diesel so I used to run it on vegetable oil. Eventually it knackered the injectors so it used to lump along spewing out blue smoke that smelled like burnt chips. in the winter it wouldn't start so I had to bump start it every morning. I used to like scaring the old biddies walking along my road, as they were unaware of this old sierra slowly rolling down the hill until I got up to about 20mph and then it would explode into life with a bang a cloud of smoke <laugh>

Also used to own a Toyota Hilux pick up on and old D plate. It was cheap from a mate, and I had no need for a 4x4 pick up, but it was fulfilling a boyhood Tonka toy dream (we all had those yes ?) It had a top speed of 45 mph and everywhere I went, I had a stream of angry motorists behind me trying to overtake.

Fastest car I've had was a BMW 320d. I had it remapped to around 216bhp. Those cars are light and based on a sports chassis. It was like **** off of a shovel and I still used to get 50mpg out of it :)

Worst one i had was a escort xr3i man i got bumped when I was young! The oil and water was mixing..blue smoke and all sorts! I was driving down a40 near shepherds bush doing around 60 and bonnet popped open slamming against the windscreen blocking the view! That was scary but not as scary as it was for the passengers until i stopped lolz....

Yeah, the BMW I had was fast. It was great on motorways and when you needed to get out of a tight spot. But I used to find it just encouraged me to speed. I had 120mph out of it once and it still had plenty more. That's fast enough for me, and if you get tugged at that speed it's bye bye licence.

I once had a Renault 5turbo. Great fun, when it was working. Sadly that wasn't often.

Got a mate who's a massive french car enthusiast. He's got a mint Pug 205 GTI that has been featured on Top Gear and loads of motoring magazines.

Topper little cars. Mind the 205 was much more reliable than the 5turbo.

The missus had one for a few years. 1.9 diesel. Cracking little car and well powered with that engine.

Mondeo estate for towing my pikey caravan.
and a Mini Coope S for hooning it around the country lanes near me.
My first car was a Yugo Zastav in orange that looked like a skip, best car was a Celica GT4, but only had it 2 months when some ****** wanted to park his van into the side of it.

I bought my missus a new Peugeot 205 some years back and it was a lemon. Small ends rattling like a snake. A mate replaced them and other faults Peugeot basically said **** off even though it was under warranty and the fcuked ran forever.

Ultimate pikey towing vehicle has to be either a Ford Transit or a Mitsubishi shogun.

Some of those early eastern euopean cars that made it to the UK market were horrendous. I remember Lada had some ugly cars over here, but they did release a decent little 4x4/jeep, can't remember the name of it now
