    The Wire Season 3.

Like the first 2, slow first half, good second half. I think I would have liked this more if I saw them at the time.

I'm def going to watch the planet earth 2 episodes this weekend. Keep forgetting to watch that!

Watched the first episode of Planet Earth 2.

Just wow! Stunning, incredible, heartbreaking, amazing.

I'm not scared of snakes, but that part freaked me out. The amount of them swarming!

Finally started to watch game of thrones. Having read the first book, I'd have to say that I'm a little underwelmed 4 episodes in. Does it get better? I'll probably give it the first series and if I'm still as underwelmed will just read the books instead.

    Bah!

Yea it does get better mate. I wasn't massively gripped by the first Season. Can't remember when I came round to it. Maybe half way through the second or something. Really enjoyed the following Seasons though!

Got my YouView box today. Just been trying to set it up the last couple of hours. Not impressed so far.

I assumed it would work off Wifi like all my other boxes. It doesn't. I'd had to run a wire all across my floor, over and under tables and shelves. Looks a tip.

I assumed it would work through the HDMI lead, like other boxes, But I need to unplug the Aerial out of the telly and into the box. The lead isn't long, so now my box is on a shelf with wires coming out in all directions. Looks horrible.

I was told of all these channels I would get, and how I can watch my BT sport channels through it. After a fair bit of messing around, I've finally got BT sport on there, but only Standard. It wont let me watch HD! Say's Id have to pay. I already do!

They said I would get the history, discovery channels etc. When I click on them it says about having to pay. I can't even see AMC or Comedy Central, which I was told I would have. If they had said it was just a freeview box with only a few extra nothing channels and BT Sport in crap definition, I wouldn't have bothered! I have an M8S box and an Apple TV box already, with Freeview on my TV!

If I can get the record function working, that's pretty much the only use for it, but I'm not even confident that would work.

Just started "Westworld", HBO's latest big-budget drama which is about 6 episodes in. Kind of a cross between Humans, Blade Runner, the Matrix and I, Robot. Really enjoying it.

Funnily enough all those films and TV shows you mentioned would have gotten the idea from the 1973 Westworld film and the TV show follows on from it.

But I'm also really enjoying this show.

I actually gave up on Game of Thrones half way through the first episode but later on gave it another chance and now love this show, first season is a bit slow but then every season gets better and better.

You need to get BT to send adapters, so that the signal for the MyView is fed through the 'mains' cables - they're free. You can buy a slightly longer TV lead off eBay or the tool store on Norwich market - make sure it's got the right plugs/sockets (ie - male/female) though.

They will send them for free will they?! I've seen a video of them using them, I assumed that would be another cost.

I've got BT Youview+ box with extra channels in HD and it's marvellous. Was easy to set up, I've more football than I could ever watch in a week and a smart hub that streams everything effortlessly.
Yes it does need to be hard wired but you just need to tell them that you need a 10M cable if needed before they send it. Smart hub is that good I can get WiFi signal at the end of my road.
My only gripe is their customer service has a lot to be desired at times, as you invariably always get an Indian call centre. They're like fecking robots and sometimes difficult to understand.

I spend 3 hours on the phone to 4 different Indian departments when I lost my internet. Then got calls twice a day from Indian callers asking if my trouble was sorted, when I was already told it wouldn't be sorted for over a week.

Then, I was suppose to have infinity today. They told me today at the latest, all those weeks ago. I spent all afternoon tying to get the box working because they said in a txt this morning "you can set up your box from now".

Got a call tonight from another Indian department. It hasn't been set up, and wont be til Thursday!

......As if I f**king believe that. I'll believe it when I see it.

BT have been constantly f*cking ridiculous. Service is the worst I've experienced since buying my house 5 years ago.

    Crikey FML, that's outrageous.
I went back to BT, as I like to record MotD, but skip through the games i don't want to watch and the fast forward with the Tivio box was quite slow, whereas with MyView it's 30 times normal. The only hassle I've had with BT was that 2 days after I placed my order, they were offering a '£100 reward card's, so I tried to cancel, but the line went dead.
Whenever I've phoned, I've nearly always spoken to someone who's first language is English!!
Very impressed with BT and I don't even get unwanted calls on my landline!!

Out of the.............probably 15 people I've talked to in the past 3 weeks. Only 1 spoke English as a first language. She was very helpful and actually got some things sorted and offered me this upgrade. Out of the others, 80% spoke so fast I couldn't understand what they were saying, and had to keep getting them to repeat it. Adding to my hours on the phone. I dread having to call them again to sort their next f*ck up out.

I've always enjoyed a good nature program and I'm not sure if it that I have seen so many before, but I can't get particularly excited by this one. OK the cinematography is marginally better but it's still all on animals that have been filmed before, only now they have the "how we got the pictures" bit, which to me seems like a bit of "Ooo look at me didn't I do well to get the shots!" Well done you set your tent up in a bog!
It's still better than the majority of dross on the tele, but still kinda bang average presentation. I think they should get Aussie commentary (See numerous facebook clips) at least it wouldn't feel like every other bbc nature program made for the last 40 years!

    Bah!

I think you'll find yourself in a minority there GM, it is an excellent series made even more enjoyable by the ninety-year-old presenter's enthusiasm.

The "how we filmed it" at the end is also very interesting! <ok>
