Watched the Usual Suspects again last night.
Still fantastic to watch and hasn't really dated even though it was made in 1995.

Carry On Cowboy was on the other night. It's nowhere near as good a western as Blazing Saddles.

Dr Strange was a surreal experience for me,3D or IMAX never meant much too me except being unnecessary gimmicks that not only add anything but ruin a little bit of the experience, but this felt like this why imax and 3d are there for,the visuals were out of the world..it was so trippy..it was a classic marvel set up but well executed, being a benedict fan from sherlock helped and unlike big blast endings, have the villain quit just by threatening to annoy him for all eternity was cool,it had a bit of that i dnt care charm from GOTG.

    A solid 7.5 out of 10 for me,critically 7,enjoyment wise 8.

Haha, not much fun movies in 2016.

I loved the Junglebook though and Zootopia was very watchable.Kungfu panda though bit of a rehas was fun too.

What movies did you find highly entertaining at the cinemas this year?

I don't do cinema unless it's something I'm guaranteed to like, last cinema movie I saw was the final batman film.

But to answer your question of recent-ish movies I quite liked....
    Interstellar
    Transcendence
    Tarzan
    Star Trek
    Dead pool
    The Martian
    Imitation game
    Ex machina
    War dogs
    Bad moms

Hmmm,i was disappointed with interstellar after all the hype,if some new director came out with it maybe one would have been amazed.

Martian was great so was deadpool and wardogs was very likeable too.

Thats what i meant,2016 was pretty poor fpr going to the cinema and DrStrange is one of the better movies.

    Is transcendance good?

Yeah some real stinkers this year,
Dawn of justice, xmen apocalypse, Warcraft, central intelligence were some I was really disappointed in.

    I'm looking forward to
    Alien covenant (Prometheus 2)
    Guardians of the galaxy 2

And yeah I liked transcendence quite a lot for the same reasons l liked interstellar, both very thought provoking films. If maybe not perfect in execution

    Seen
The Accountant - pretty good solid 7.
Nocturnal Animals - stars Amy Adams and she is always hot. Film is very arty and thought provoking (which means it's too intellectual for most on here) 8 out of 10

Saw a few of these Russ Meyer films whilst tripping a few years ago. Probably not the best state to be watching this sort of frivolity. They were X rated in their day, but they are fairly tame by today's standards
