Off Topic Why do so many older British men emigrate to Thailand ?

When it was cheap. Dont affect me as im paid in baht. But massive losses for people changing pounds.

Thankfully the US and OZ dollar is still strong.

 

Yeah I have friends that are losing serious money over low exchange rates but like you it doesn't affect me also as I'm pretty much self sufficient here.

It's a #classicfail as are all his threads. Thailand is a country of opportunity if you do it right. Yes there are many that are sex tourists and why not? Pay your money take your choice it's no different than Berlin or Dam. What you do get here is a beautiful country with a fantastic all year round temperature and cracking food & friendly people.

Away from the big cities the country is stunningly beautiful and so diverse. Living in a farming community makes you appreciate how happy people despite living on £4 a day and even though they have very little they are happy to share their food with you.

Nice food, warm weather, friendly people, tropical islands, international environment, beautiful people and its cheap might be a reason why people travel there and emigrate there as well.....
