If there a touch of Evans-itous about Southgate?

Putting aside the Managerial qualities he may have, Gareth Southgate (in my opinion) automatically has a disadvantage because he looks and sounds about as inspiring as Glory during an international break!

The same could be said about Steve Evans. As he did not look like a mourinho or a Guardiola, he automatically started on the back foot. He could be a very good Manager but fans and Chairmen alike will never give him the same opportunities as he does not look the part.

Bearing this in mind, is it worth persevering with Southgate?

Give the bloke a chance ffs.
We have a young team and for reasons nobody can explain have to select Rooney he can only beat the teams we play...

Southgate same old type of management,we need a new probably foreign style management or the young Bournmouth manager maybe.

I just look at his managerial record, with Boro for 151 games and had a win percentage of 29.8%

Apart from the U21 this is his only experience as a manager, never been an assistant to anyone, never managed a group of 'adults' apart from Boro and I am marvelled at how this can qualify him ahead of dozens of other managers.

It really is a joke... Steve Evans is actually better qualified than Southgate.

We haven't the best team in the world but we are certainly under performing.

I don't agree. It's as good as ye are. Think of it, Rooney always picked yet he wouldn't get into any top European team. Do you think Spain Germany or France would pick him if he was on of theirs? Like hell they would. Stone is an absolute joke as a defender and only for his 30 or 40m price tag wouldn't be considered either

Skill wise they are very good individuals, but don't play anywhere near potential as a team. For example only Bale from any other British or Irish team would get in the team IMO.

You're wrong but I understand why you won't admit it here. Bang average players who no top footballing country are envious of. Not today or yesterday that's happened but I fully understand why you can't admit that

Well for example your top playmakers Robby Brady and Wes Hoolahan,a championship team took them to the cleaners only last week, you may know them !!! and another one did the week before.Maybe you would get top half in the championship.

Thought the discussion was about you're lot but you clearly want to do a Katy Hopkins and divert attention from your problems. I understand, I really do. You should look at the commitment of those two players you mentioned at present against Austria. Clearly not in the same bracket as wooney and stones thank god <doh>

I'm proving my point, your best players are championship standard, even 1 as deluded as you I'm sure wouldn't say the likes of Kane,Vardy,Sturridge etc are championship standard.
