What a fantastic result for Armenia! 2-0 down and without a win in the group, they turn it around and beat Montonegro with a great strike from distance with about 3 seconds to go. Wasn't expecting much when I switched on in the second half. I hope England can produce a game at least half as exciting tonight.
Kyle Walker, who everyone says can't cross, provides a beauty. I maintain better movement from our attackers....
It's just that I remember a time when both teams could play a really decent standard of football. This is just awful. England's defence is atrocious. Scotland's poor attack is the only reason that we've not conceded.
I thought it was alright. Far more watchable than most of our games, even if there's a few players playing poorly for us. Would like to see Sturridge stick to his position more. We can fuss about with free roles and lovely interchanges later, right now we need to be working on getting competant performances out of the team. Same goes for Stones, Rooney, Henderson and Lallana who all got caught out faffing around with the ball in our own half.
And that's what happens if you don't take your chances. Two headed goals and two assists for Spurs fullbacks, which is a bit odd.
Scotland are looking rather vulnerable now. The wind's gone out of their sails completely. Some frustrated tackles and lazy defending. Could end up very badly for them.
You can look at Spurs' season so far in a number of ways, but one is that we've seen fabulous work from our defenders and deep lying midfielders, and a failure from our attacking players to do their part.
