To put this appointment in gentlemen's terms, you took back to your flat an ex-girlfriend you haven't seen for 12 years. You know you shouldnt really go back, because neither of you are the same people, but the thought of the good times overule your head. Then in the morning you realise why you got rid in the first place, and you cant wait to kick her out. Thanks, lets have a coffee.
Jeff I would rather have Jude the Cat than Hollowhead. He will be okay for 3-4 games but then the players will realise what an idiot he is and we will drop like a stone. Chery and Luongo will be gone in January and replaced with some 30+ big foward like Brett Angel. Seriously I cannot believe any fan would want that muppet back? it's a disaster.
Like I said, heart over common sense. Like that good looking bird he pulled - you only remember the good times - not all the bad times. He was his own legend - but he's the past, not the future.
When I watched the highlights from the Premier League this weekend I actually thought to myself what a good signing Charlie Adam could be for us in January. The kind of experienced head a lot of other sides manage to sign and get a lot out of. Now with Holloway it could actually be a possibility, they were highly succesfull together at Blackpool. And Adam still have the ability to run a game on his own, like he did against West Ham at the weekend.
Jeff it will be like JFH. I got slaughtered on here for not wanting him and at the time people said 'lets just see, give him a chance'. Where are all the JFH fans now? Not one has said "You were right Ellers it did end in tears". Yet if i was wrong i bet they wood all be coming out of the woodwork. I will call it now: Holloway to QPR = A backward step disaster.
moan moan moan....let's just give whoever comes in a chance eh? Life under JFH was clearly pretty miserable. I am hoping that whoever comes in gets the lads playing with a smile on their face and enjoying playing again. If it is Holloway that comes in then I for one will give him a chance to turn things around for us. I see little point in bashing him (or anyone else that may get the gig) before they have even started and whilst he would not be my first choice, he may well offer us a short term solution.
Have to say I agree with you Ellers, if it happens, then it is a backward step, I can not see how this is an improvement on JFH......
I was thinking exactly the same, Adam is a dirty git but boy do we need someone to pull the strings. I did think Ollie's Blackpool link might give us a chance.
Now I have received the recognition I crave. I would just like to add… Holloway struggled last time he was here in a very poor Championship with average players. What will it be like for him now with better teams and more skilled players? (Although I still think this division is poor, just not as poor).
