Oh, Utd won't be down forever. They are a genuinely big club, recognisable international brand, all that stuff. Fun while their struggling lasts though.
Yes.They wont even go down like liverpool did, they are up there with Barca,Real and Bayern who are there and will always be,Juventus will soon join that club too.
On the other hand, look at Inter Milan; 18 Domestic league titles, 3 European Cup/Champions League titles. Now playing to a half empty stadium. Maybe Utd will follow another of Mourinho's old clubs into decline...
They are in serious financial difficulty, I believe. Which Utd aren't, though they are apparently still heavily leveraged, so who knows what the future might hold. I wouldn't wish financial insolvency on any club, I've experienced it first hand at my own.
Very strange comments by Koeman... don't ever remember him saying anything similar while at us. Not sure if this will get better performances out of him or make him more lazy. Not sure how team mates / fans will feel about it though. Still reckon he'll be a success at Everton mind.
Poor choice of words from him. If he's trying to inspire him to get the best out of what time he has left at the club, I can half understand it, as there's been a new contract on the table for Lukaku since the summer, and he's not signed it. Next summer he'll only have 2 years left, so he'll have to go at that point. However, the fans haven't taken to this comment and hot on the heels of a drubbing it was poorly advised.
Yeah that's fair enough mate... I see what you're saying if he's trying to get more out of him I could kinda get it, but I'm not sure Lukaku is that sort of character. Could backfire and go the other way. Strange comments though and, like you say, poor timing too.
Has RK finally lost the plot? Shame, I still quite like the bloke. Glad he and Saints have gone our seperate ways though; it's obviously for the best, from our point of view if not his.
I thought Lukaku would've left this summer to be fair, I doubt we'll sign him given that we have Zlatan Ibrahimovic for another season.
