One of the problems was Cameron's "renegotiations" were from a UK point of view when he should have aimed at changing things for the whole EU.

    Still confused.
You quoted a post in which I said that I would have abstained from the US vote as I did not like either candidate, and you put, "No".

    No What?

You may mock Trumps credentials but he has just won an election, pretty much denouncing capitalism. His true colours may / or may not be be exposed over time.
The point is that, (in my opinion and that of both the UK and the States electorate), the tide appears to be turning against the top 1%
In the case of TTIP, is it OK for large corporations to be able to sue governments if they believe that they are entitled to a slice of the pie?

Trump is the top 1%. Couldn't have a better example than him. So how ****ing stupid does that make the 47% of the US electorate who voted for him?

And this is exactly why this type of thread will go rumbling on. Just because others have a different view to you, does not make them illiterate morons.

If the Govt is breaking the Law then they are liable to be sued just the same as anyone else. That is completely OK. But large corporations are only 'entitled' to the extent that the Law says they are. I'm not sure why this is an issue if the Law is written correctly.

Agreed. Most of the media is anything but moronic. They've worked out exactly what buttons to press to make people dance to their undemocratic tune and we are all paying for it!

He didn't denounce capitalism. He is arguing for US to restrict it's markets to foreign capitalists and therefore promote American capitalism.
Trumps tax proposals include scrapping inheritance tax, halving corporation tax and reducing tax rates for top earners by 15%. I wonder who benefits from that?

They voted for the change he promised, whilst with Clinton it was more of the same.
Not sure I could have voted for him, but I'm fortunate to be in a well paid job, own my house (mortgage free) and have access to social benefits package, if needed, which includes a free national health service.
It's easy to label others as stupid, but if the boot was on the other foot....?

I love Corbyn? Despite saying that he's unelectable and that I wouldn't vote for him?
We're not all lead by the nose to follow idiots who say some things that we agree with, you know.
Please don't equate my thought processes with your own.
