Nice on Ronald. Your fans gonna love this http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37928353 Or is he just being honest??
He is not even worldclass yet,t his is crazy from koeman, the club, the fans are all looking up and compared to the moyes era are investing great sums while out of the blue their manager of great promise comes and says arguably their best performing player who has the most promise as well should leave to fulfil his potential when there was no need to do so...hes not at the level of the best strikers in the world Lewandowski Suarez Aguero Aubameyang Griezmann Not anywhere close, not the top 5 in his position, nowhere near it...just a dick drunk move from koeman who had to spill out his personal admiration from training. Koeman is right. He knows Everton are a diddy club, doomed to a long slow decline, and it is surely dawning on him that he has taken a tragic wrong turn in his own career by going there. Like Lukaku, he can't get out fast enough.
Maybe he will punch above his weight for a season or two and look to jump to a vacancy at looks most likely Manchester United.
Strange thing for a manager to say. Mind we have Moyes you said 'we will be in a relegation battle' after 2 games.
He's a good player but is he really that good, time will tell. Think Koeman is saying "if you want him come with big cash".
EFC are in the top 20 richest clubs in the world and are the 4th-5th most successful club in the country, so how are they diddy compared to Saints then Archers? But yeah Koeman talking Everton down won't go down too well with their fans, especially after the battering they got at Chelsea
Are Man U likely to put their trust in another Dutch manager though? The last experiment might have put them off for a bit.
I assume that Koeman either wants to get rid of him or knows something about his future. He may have already agreed a transfer for next summer, in principle. If neither are true, then I don't understand his comments at all. I can't remember him doing anything similar in the past.
It's a question of direction. In 7 years Saints have gone from League 1 to the Europa League. Everton have gone from nearly men to mid table mediocrities
Ao many premiership clubs are in the top 20 financially but that wont get them the players they need to climb up on the pitch as currently Arsenal Chelsea Leicester City Liverpool Manchester United Manchester City Tottenham Hotspurs All have better squads than everton so 5th or 6th is being in dreamland,so in the premiership the best they can do 7 probably... With the competition they cant reach new money making routes, arent expanding their stadium, without continental competition or titles there will be slow fanbase growth too Had they had all their resources in another country like italy or even germany, they could have did reasonable tangible progress and increased their fan base so either they go big and risk it all or they bide their time and try tonbe in the top 6 for a while and then pouncing when opportunity presents itself.
What has nationality got to do with anything, moyes and fergie were both scottish Houllier and Wenger are french Van gaal and Johan Cryuff are dutch Its the quality of manager thay will matter i guess.
Moshri is now at the blueshite with lots of money to invest, they are currently planning their new stadium, they are on the up in cthose terms but yep if the team doesnt move forward the money and new stadium will mean nothing. At the moment though they are still a bigger club than Saints, although I admire Saints and how they have progressed despite us and man u and spuds signing your best players.
The point being here is despite being the same nationality, their style and results vastly differed on the pitch.
Yeah, I get the point. I was taking the piss, initially out of Everton, but then thought why not Utd as well. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching one manager after another, of varying nationalities, fail to fill Fergie's shoes at Utd. Long may it continue
Trust me there would be no one whonenjoys it more than me,i want them to blow more and more cash say another 400m and if they arent any better they will be in trouble, their commercial deals will windle down like the addidas deal will be cut down but they wont become liverpool, they have simply moved with the times and grown too much, the stadium and the fan base etc, onlybway they will be out of the picture is if city, liverpool, arsenal akd chelsea keep pulling away from them and hopefully consolidate a new top 4
