Once you have a basic understanding of the quirks of the USA presidential electoral
process, you realise that national proportion of vote achieved has little bearing on
    the end result ...

In fact the electoral system was specifically designed to avoid a "tyranny of the majority".

Another thing I have learnt today (in addition to the belief by some that the referendum
Leave result is statistically "crushing" ) .

Hats aren't really my thing, I've still got a full head of hair unlike most of you so there's nothing to cover up.

Most presidents seem to be beholden to their party and/or donors
Trump may be able to take advice from anybody and become a good president.

Like the tyranny of a small majority in the EU referendum. It's a good job we have Parliament and the judiciary to keep check on it.

How does it feel to know you will never experience your Marxist utopia?

Regardless, the result shows no great love or trust in Trump. He was just marginally less disliked than Clinton. Which, to me, just shows what low regard Clinton is held in.

I repeat, IMO any half way credible democratic candidate would have defeated Trump.

Clinton was the wrong choice at the wrong time. Having said that, I don't believe that Sanders was the answer either.

    Your opinion, only.,...!

And if you really believe Tobes is a Marxist, you're even more unobservant and deluded than I thought.
