9 December 2016 CAS 2016/A/4588 FC Internazionale Milano v. Sunderland AFC Then we'll find out the outcome. Bout time we stopped dancing to the tune of the Italian Media's twisted and pointless propaganda. That's the date. Everything up till now has been bullshite. Now we know when the news is due and know we're not getting another load of bullshit. http://www.tas-cas.org/en/general-information/news-detail/article/cas-hearings-5.html
Hasn't the Italian/UK media only said that FIFA ruled in Inter's favour and that Sunderland escalated it to CAS as they didn't accept the decision? Seems to be conforming to what they've written to be fair.
Mate they've called it 4 times. Only one of them was the fifa ruling, the rest were either jumping the gun on the fifa ruling or the CAS ruling.
My point is you can probably deduce from the accuracy of at least some reports, that Sunderland lost the FIFA hearing which isn't a great start.
But that has nowt to do with my point. I've not mentioned winning or losing have I? I don't give a **** what the outcome is anymore, I've had me fill. No more not knowing what to believe. We have a definitive date, no more bullshite, no more propaganda from the italian press, no more court case hanging over our heads. We know when the ruling is due we'll be able to draw a line under it soon and then it's done with at long last. We knew anyway we lost the FIFA ruling. That's when it made the British press. I've said at the time it didn't matter what the fifa ruling was as both sides were always going to take it the full course. The clubs said as much. The end is near mate. I can't wait myself.
I wasn't aware that the Italian media had stated it'd gone further than FIFA, if that's the case... you don't have long to wait.
For me this is just another in the long list of SAFC recruitment shambles. I really don`t care what the result is just put the thing to bed and be done with it.
I'd care, it could have a good or bad impact on your January window depending on which was the CAS rules. You could be signing Carlton Cole instead of [Insert £10m striker here].
If we had 10m to spend the chances are we`d buy 3 Carlton Coles anyway. The only positive from this is that it might give the new CEO some ammunition to actually change the complete debacle of our recruitment over the last 5 years. Shocking waste and it has to change.
That's the price for other clubs but our business plan suggests his value to SAFC is in the region of £15m and a £70k per week contract over five years.
That's how you immediately turn him into a £15m striker - that is what you need after all, not sure what your problem is with that model?
Yep, they called it twice before the fifa hearing and once before this CAS hearing. Claiming victory for Inter each time. They even tried to convince people that Rickie's personal hearing(to free him to play) was a victory for Inter even though that hearing had nothing to do with either club.
Tel, if Short hasn't hasn't had this potential fee accounted for for the last few season so it effects our January spends then the club really is ****ed under him.
Possibly but if we don't get 3pts against Ull our season is over before our too regular transfer debacle ruling - -maybe only EFL silverware left ??
I wonder if the money has been put aside , just in case. If we win will Moyes have that money to spend or will Short pocket it ?
I'd like to be hopeful about this but I'd imagine our budget has been drawn up already and the outcome of this will only eat into it.
