    Aye, but what I was meaning was more any differences between the manifesto of the party, a congressman and the President. We don't tend to run as such distinct elements.

    Speaking very generally, since much of this thread is probably off-topic, the problem with most politicians is that they don't really bother listening to people, and such politician's supporters don't seem to think they even have to which is even funnier.

    Black voters mobilised for O'Barmy and got him elected.

    They didn't for HRC.

    And had the vote gone the other way NF and the Brexit lot would have just said ' oh ok then, well thats it, only 48% voted to leave so we'll just pack up and go home ...." of course they bloody wouldn't !!

    Mmmm...Normally there are checks and balances, the Senate often having another party in charge. Trump has won a majority in all 3 areas. Maybe they should have another vote as it didn't go the way the political elite and the luvvies thought it should.

    Supposition. And bracketing the NF with Brexit is pathetic.

    Nicola Sturgeon has just commented "Although the election has not gone the way I wanted the people have spoken and I respect that". Unlike a referendum on Independence or leaving the EU then.

    I just listened to his full victory speech and a lot of sounds like New Deal-ish rhetoric to try and assure voters who utterly despise him. He actually said in 2015 that he's going to implement universal taxpayer-funded healthcare despite the fact he's criticised Obamacare relentlessly. It's probably bollocks but if he did introduce universal healthcare, I wonder if many liberals and progressives will start to praise him. He's not your stereotypical bible-belt, laissez-faire Republican. He likes Reagan but wants the government to fund universal healthcare? I'm sure many Americans are utterly cacking themselves but I think his first year in office will be very, very interesting. Not good or hopeful, but interesting.

    Yes, but Clinton got less of the black vote than Obama. And after all the excitement of record amounts of Hispanics registering to vote and everyone assuming they would vote for Clinton, Trump got a larger share of the Hispanic vote than Romney did. Isn't it awful when the plebs don't vote the way their betters think they should?

    He'll either;
    A - pull it off
    B - be impeached
    C - be assassinated
    D - **** it up

    Think I've covered everything there, which is to say, it's uncharted territory.

    As a wise man once said, this is something of a Ku de ta.
