Religion had its uses.
It was a way for the nobility of old to placate the masses and instill fear into them, to make them abide by a moral code under fear of eternal damnation.
Our culture is heavily influenced by Christianity, and always will be.
That doesn't mean we have to literally believe the bullshit spewed in the bible.
Its no longer necessary to have the make believe in order to keep people in line.
It will die out eventually, probably take another couple of hundred years till it is completely gone, and our culture will always carry Christianities mark, but as for going to church, and believing in god?......people just do not these days.....in increasing numbers.

We know too much about how the universe works to swallow that BS these days.

 

Again, my hatred of Islam isn't irrational. I've already told you this. It's funny because I'm more than willing to have a discussion on it but you keep ducking it because you don't know anything about it, not that that's a bad thing, it's good practice not to talk about things you know nothing about, but you're a bit comparable to a vegan that has to mention that they are a vegan every 10 minutes in a way that you have to call someone a racist every 10 minutes. You were calling me a racist long before I said anything about the racial demographics.

I have no issue with those who don't believe in God, I believe it's a perfectly rational position to take. There are some who won't let either their blind hatred for religion or the disbelief in God get in the way of other rational thought, which is that Christianity is needed. You don't have to believe in it but it has been a cornerstone of society for many years, now that it is being picked at and prodded and suppressed do we start to see our societies falling. It's no coincidence. What takes its place once it is gone? I know the answer, do you?
