Is it not possible that people gain there moral code from upbringing, mainly influenced by parents, friends, location etc... Rather than religion or government?

 

Interesting proposal. I think it was put forward to enable UK citizens to retain their rights as EU citizens to travel, work and receive healthcare in Europe. Not sure how it would apply to EU human rights etc and obviously a UK citizen would still be subject to UK law and taxation etc. I don't see why it couldn't work to be honest ? Although I noted some right wing leave campaigner was trying to say that it would divide our country (the irony obviously orbited over her head)
