There will have been some injuries to the opposition so it doesn't count.

The greatest performance in the entire history of the top flight was Leicester's 2015- 2016 season..
This time last year I was trying to talk Fosse and most of his board into the possibilities of Leicester taking the title and there weren't to many takers on the Leicester board .

No such thing as the best performance. These new age ****ing fans create the stupidest concepts. They don't know how to enjoy football nowadays, too busy measuring cocks. So many performances have been great by so many teams for so many reasons. Il give you ****s an example to throw into the hat.

Spurs 9 Wigan 1 back in 2009. It was only 1-0 at half time. Any other team scored 8 goals in 45 minutes in PL history? kinda qualifies for a best ever performance.

No such thing but offer one anyway? <whistle>

I happen to agree though, impossible to definitely say one game over 25 years. Too many things to consider.

It's just Chelsea fans coming out of their shell again. Got to be the most fickle supporters on this site.

P.s. was that Wigan game really 1-0 at ht? <yikes>

    Spud lover?

Are you still banging on about an 'allegiance with Spurs fans'?
How immature is that Commy ffs! I can speak on a forum to someone whether they support Spurs or Huddlesfield, makes no difference you tool. I'm discussing with the person not the club <doh>

    I've really #rattled you Commy, haven't I?

That's my point Leber, you can't give one...because there are many and for a valid reason.

Yes 1-0 at HT mate. Quite impressive to bag 8 against any PL outfit in 45 minutes.

That is impressive... thought it was more than that...

The other thing with these debates is that people generally talk about lots of goals etc. forgetting the top away performances which are just as important.

Arsenals win at OT to clinch the title in 2002 springs to mind.

Exactly....I bet Aguero is still buzzing from winning the league for City with an injury time winner and last kick of the season. Imagine the expectation, pressure and delight. Alot of players would fluff that line. Impressive stuff.

For drama I'm not sure anything will ever beat that moment. A team winning the league title, from their city rivals, on goal difference with the last kick of a 38 game season.

Incredible when you think back to it really...

I nearly suffocated when that goal went in. I suppose it finally gave me an insight into being a Bayern fan in May 1999.

  16. The standard of opposition took a distinct nose-dive when Skiddy appeared back on the scene, but it's sunken to it's greatest depth with Commie.

These muppets wum themselves. There's really nothing for us to do, Sky.

The best game ever is very hard to call. It will always just be a matter of opinion. As for Tottenham and Liverpool? F****** hate them.

I think Motty was just enthusing after seeing a fantastic attacking game And a great Chelsea performance. He is prone to such outrageous comments.
