Dont tell me you think our political system is any less bent and skewed towards the South and especially London.

In 2014 I went from Bratislava station to Trencin, and saw the electrification/upgrade of the railway line right across Slovakia funded by EU money (our contributions included). Hurrah!
Yet here we are, still with a **** non electrified line stuck out here on the coast. We've been in the EU over 40 years since when it was a 9 country unit. No doubt this was a socio-political project to get the Slovaks grateful and supportive of the EU. What a kind and benevolent organisation it really is.
We are one of the minority of net contributors and among the very biggest. In the meantime, funds never seem to find their way up to this neck of the woods. The perception is that they end up far, far away.
In some ways, Brexit was a protest vote against Westminster and the **** way they have governed this country for decades, allowing the 'managed decline' of whole regions and cites whilst others, notably London have disproportionate amounts spend on their arts, travel infrastructure etc.
Brexit and the shock of the establishment ****s that so many people were pissed off has been the political highlight of the century. First Brussels, next stop Westminster.

I love it when they witter on about the 'bloated' EU bureaucracy. That'll be the EU which employs 30,000 civil servants, compared to the UK government's 400,000+...

I voted leave and so did most of my socialist friends. It was never about immigration, £350 million for the NHS or even sovereignty of parliament for us. For me it was two things: 1. removing one layer of bureaucratic government and the state at a time and 2. the EU will never reform from a capitalist cartel to a socialist federation, it relies on capitalism through the free movement of capital and labour. It was a lost cause for many leftists. Good riddance, I hope the whole thing crumbles.

Or perhaps they weren't sucked in and pissed off with the left wing thought police dictating and squealing 'racist' or 'xenophobe' to kill any debates.

Fair enough. I can see the appeal of a Lexit vote, but the economic crumbling which is happening is gonna affect who the most? You and me, or the likes of Farage?

The evidence from 5, 10 and 15 years ago suggests he's been a stereotypical New York liberal capitalist most of his life. It makes much more sense to lie about his politics now during a presidential campaign to win over America's bigoted but left-behind segment of the population, than to lie 5, 10 and 15 years ago when he wasn't running for office and making huge donations to liberal politicians.

It certainly wont effect the people in parliament.
Most of them are rich with even richer partners.

The middle-class, actually. The sectors that rely on the EU the most, like banking and commerce, will be hit the most in Britain. The working-classes life won't improve in the short term of Brexit (5-10 years) and it might get a little worse for them too during this period but Britain leaving the EU, especially the single market (this is what I care about most, not immigration, sovereignty etc.), will have huge repercussions on global capitalism.

Majority of folk who don't have a job or are on low wages, or who live in a poor part of the country never saw any financial benefit WHATSOEVER from the EU so Brexit won't impact them massively in a financial way. What you've never had, you'll never miss.
Why are so many Remoaners so stupid that they can't see this?

Many people who voted to leave actually believe the remain voters are brainwashed and have been hoodwinked by the elite, not the other way around.

The EU is in my opinion just a gravy train that serves its own interests. I don't think it's needed at all.

I voted remain by the way for a few selfish reasons that I won't mention, but it doesn't mean I like the EU or actually think it's had a positive impact on the UK.

I can't agree. The motivation to make money is far more likely to make someone adopt a veneer. Nobody expects a wealth creator to be trustworthy. In politics, he has to be himself.

What utter nonsense. Have a look around Hull and work out where the funding came from for so many regeneration projects...

It will pick up again. I voted remain as I'm a greedy **** on the brink of buying my first house and didn't want to take a short term financial hit but long term we are probably better off on our own. It's also (hopefully) likely to benefit my company with better commonwealth trade deals and easier domination of the U.K. Market which means even more cash in my pocket. Ker ching.

I did regret voting remain as soon as I'd posted it.

Which is yet another layer of hoodwinkery. The Remain camp had cross-party support. Leave was almost entirely right wing in its parliamentary support.
