For several weeks now (and I did post a while back about it) I think he is playing through an injury. I only hope it is not a reoccurrence of the knee injury.
There have been a couple of times recently when the ball has been passed back to him and I've noticed he looks like he's wading through treacle. The down side of being so huge is your body has to support all that weight.
Would be surprising considering how careful we have been with easing players back from injury. Boufal has taken a while Cedric has been training for a while but not playing. Would think they would just play McCarthy.
Do not want to look at wiki, but he is about 33 and played about the same amount of games. the term^ not quite good enough¨ was made for him
I have been rather critical of all these international breaks but maybe this one is acceptable to enable those not on international duty time to recover from niggling injuries and have some rest. It also means that the next opponents, Liverpool, will also have had their preparations for the game, disrupted, as they were in the process of building up a considerable head of steam.
Excellent news!! Well done Fraser, get as far away as possible from that mess. Come on Bertrand, you know you are feeling a slight calf pull....
England playing Scotland reminds me of SRL's goal. I have never jumped around so much in my life. https://www.bing.com/videos/search?...8354A7AAF3EA09866FEE8354A7AAF3EA098&FORM=VIRE
I, for one, am quite happy that Charlie is not in the England squad. One - he'd probably come back injured or knackered from "over-training" after sitting on the bench for 90 minutes watching Sturridge shooting at every opportunity (and missing) and Two - it might make him even hungrier to prove a point to Southgate that he's good enough. I REALLY hope the Scousers get some injuries from the international level (apart from Sturridge - as he's ****e anyway .......)
I hope Sturridge picks up a knock as well........little bugger always finds his scoring boots against us.
