I saw that headline, was it in the Metro? Is that Scott Parker? I reckon it's mostly the wages and also certain players like to stay in London. Inevitably at some point in the next couple of seasons we are gona have to increase our wage cap to at least 50k a week. Hopefully we don't become a bunch of mercenaries like most of Prem teams. I also heard Barton is on 70k and so would not bother coming to us.

Do think Europa league will help us sign better players now though? Also, I'm not sure we want the massive egos and big wages that will undermine our team spirit.

Hi Waddo, a combination of all, although Bolton ain't no Shangr-La in February!!

Fuller we already have a mercenary in KJ IMO and there are not too many Jonny Walters around!!

Big ego and big players need a BIG manager, nuff said on that!

But guys, we really really must do something special soon, or else we will be the healthies team in the championship, moneywise.

I read on BBC Sport just now that there are 18 ex PL teams in that league, let's hope we don't make it 19

Or maybe Parker feels a move to Stoke could hamper his England chances?

So first Carlton Cole then Scott Parker reject Stoke's advances in order to commit to the Hammers cause and to try to return to the Premier League at the first attempt. Shame they lost at home to Cardiff today!!

Well apparently we've agreed personal terms with Palacios with a £6m move (Possibly rising to £10m)

According to a "Football_Agent9" Twitter account, that has over 13,000 followers. Official announcement will be made today/tomorrow.

    Let's hope this is true!
