Is this why he didn't play the 2nd half But seriously, was he subbed at half time and if so was he injured, not match fit or being saved for the weekend?
He wasn't injured, but he's not necessarily being rested for the weekend, he's not played for a very long time.
Thanks for the report John, at one point I had high hopes for Lenihan but you seem to think he'd be more at home down the allotment.
Me also, last night he looked good though, he only played 45 minutes at right back but certainly did OK. Let's hope he can stay fit, as he is certainly a better option at right back than Elmo, if we play a back 4.
As OLM said I think he hasn't played in a while so he was took off as a precaution. As I said he looked OK for the time he was on the field, and is certainly a better defender at right back than Elmo.
Weir Hull, Weir Hull, Weir Hull Weir Hull, Weir Hull, Weir Hull Weir Hull, Weir Hull, Weir Hull Weir Hull, We R Ull.
Why do we chant this freely but get cross when people call us Hull on TV? We openly refer to ourselves as Hull City FC in one chant, that's not right either.
One of life's mysteries. Like people wondering about Hull's schools when they hear people asking for a C, an I a T and a Y and declaring that what we have got is The Tigers.

Allan McGregor and Brian Lenihan both continued their comebacks from injury in a side that showed four changes from the one beaten by Bolton Wanderers earlier in the week. First-year scholar Brandon Fleming replaced Josh Tymon at left-back, Johan Ter Horst and McKenzie came into the midfield for Will Annan and James Weir, and Jonathan Edwards started in place of Jarrod Bowen. With a crisp winter chill in the Derbyshire air, the Rams were unlucky not to take the lead after four minutes, but Vernam’s long-range strike hit the post with McGregor beaten and bounced away to safety. The Tigers replied with Harvey Rodgers meeting a Dan Batty corner but his header was blocked before Batty fired over the bar from outside the box. McGregor was called into action for the first time of the evening when he got down well low to his left to push Vernam’s curling effort which was heading for the bottom corner behind for a corner. The decisive goal came in the 25th minute as McKenzie collected Batty’s pass and drove at the Derby defence. He played the ball out to Ter Horst on the right and continued his run into the box to meet the cross with a controlled volley past Rams keeper Henrich Ravas. Vernam, at the heart of most the hosts’ best attacking moves, sought an immediate equaliser as Derby went straight up the other end but his left-foot effort drifted narrowly over McGregor’s crossbar. McGregor was the busier of the two goalkeepers in the first period and came to his side’s rescue six minutes before the interval when making a vital block to deny Mason Bennett. The Tigers almost doubled their lead nine minutes into the second half. Ter Horst and McKenzie combined well down the right and when the latter pulled the ball back, Edwards’ shot deflected off Farrend Rawson and hit the base of the post before the home defence eventually hacked the ball clear. Lenihan’s game lasted for an hour before he was replaced by Ellis Barkworth. Josh Clackstone saw a free-kick held by Ravas at the second attempt and Ben Hinchliffe looked set for an easy tap in from Greg Olley’s low cross until a last ditch intervention from Kyron Stabana to concede a corner. Although Derby had a lot of possession in the closing stages, the Tigers stood strong defensively and restricted the Rams to any clear shooting opportunities. Kellan Gordon and Emil Riis Jakobsen both came off the bench in a double change with just over 20 minutes to go and the former almost drew the hosts level ten minutes after their introduction, but McGregor comfortably claimed the winger’s low effort. That proved to be the last real chance for the Rams, as Pennock’s side held on to ensure they bounced back from defeat to Colchester in their opening group stage fixture.
