you snooze and you lose! gutting if we lose a real classy centre back and also for approx £750k, a really good financial investment.
we best act mega quick, wonder if theres more chance of him getting first team action with them atm? our defense is arguably better
But I reckon that we have a pretty good chance still 1: He's played with us before and seems to get along with Nigel 2: He knows most of the current players 3: Swansea will probably struggle in the Premier League (?) 4: City has the ambitions to be in the top 6 5: But he will probably get better paid in Swansea So which will he pick?
The fee was £850k, NP said we were discussing personal terms, if it's not announced tomorrow I suspect Swansea will have got to his agent and they'll have turned his head. He's better than Hobbs IMO, but I do rate Chester as the best we've had recently.
Not having a go here, but can you say your defence is better when we had the second best defensive record in the championship last term around ? He will by the way probably get some game time with us as monk is unlikely to feature much
This would have been our best deal in years, based on cost, quality, potential, and future sell-on value. Push it through this afternoon !!
I reckon your defence is better, even though I think that Rosenior and Chester would be able to take a starting position.
Reckon it's make or break tomorrow on the deal. If we don't sign him tomorrow then Swansea have got to him. Problem is that although Swansea only want him as backup, we only now gone for him because of injury to Macca. Still think we just ahead of the game with this, but fingers and toes crossed.
To be honest I think he will go to you as things look tied up, but your reactions he sounds a good player, I must admit I haven't heard of him before.
Im personally hapy with Hobbs and Chester. Use the money to get a forward, thats what we desperately need.
Agreed we need a striker. Not happy that we've missed out on a player that'd improve our first team - cost effectively.
