Not particularly, it depends on your definition of racist. I've seen some of the earlier issues associated with his dad and their tenant policy, but the Clintons past shows similar.

The current government policies, that Clinton has endorsed and is liable to continue, have discriminated against blacks, and held them back. They encourage movements like black lives matter, that fly in the face of the ethos of the Martin Luther King speech.

The republican policy is more focused on helping poorer communities, which are often ethnic minorities, and looks to put measures in place to help on issues like education and health.

There's the rub. As I said earlier, it's a two horse race. Against almost any other candidate, you wouldn't pick either, and few if any of us on here will be voting anyway.

I just feel that on balance, Clinton will cause more serious harm, and will impact on us. Trump will make a mess, no doubt, but he doesn't have the political nous or clout to get anything radical through the house anyway.

I think it's a meaningless word trotted out to mask a lack of substantive argument. It just sends discussions down rabbit holes.

As does Hillary. Brickies best start queuing now. :emoticon-0105-wink:

I liked the Mexican smuggler's response, when he said to them both, "good luck with that, but I'm not sure how effective they'll be against our tunnels".

They should have a wall bordering Mexico. The **** that goes on in Mexico to provide the US with narcotics smuggled through a flimsy wire fence...

Besides it's just good border practice. The only reason there isn't one there is because of the cost.

This election will see the largest ever turn-out of Hispanic voters, by quite some distance and they ain't voting Trump.

I think being called 'criminals, rapists and killers' probably has something to do with it, I suspect they perceive him to be a little bit racist.

Though probably not quite as much as the Muslims.

Precisely, having witnessed the bulk of the cold war years when nuclear war was a constant threat, particularly in 62, it does appear that the present scenarios are of much less threatening nature.

They may well perceive him that way. Limiting their friends and family coming over was hardly going to endear him, but his border policies on who gets in and how, are pretty much mirrored by Hillary.

The build up of troops and weaponry along the border with Russia is the highest it's been since WWII. Add in China and the middle east, and the complexities there, and the level of threat can be seen to be very high. The military are certainly very concerned.

Looks like Clinton is going to win. Unless of course the electors do a Brexit and just as the British people have brought probably economic disaster on themselves harming those most that actually voted for the measure, then the Trump supporters will do the same but in this case they will bring ramifications much greater of both an economic and political nature not just to the USA but the whole world. Let common sense prevail.

It is probably unlikely that any one is going to put an end to civilisation as we know it today over such issues.

That's why he said probable disaster.

Lets be honest, no one, including our politicians have a clue what the implications are going to be, it hasn't been thought through and there's no precedent. We're going into it blind and hoping for the best.

Its not the policies they've taken offence to, more the fact he labelled them all rapists and criminals.

Mexicans aren't stupid, they know whoever the president is its not going to be easy to get into the US.
