oh it was an excellent concept and commentary on the state of american TV/justice systems etc. The thing is he sticks out like a sore thumb in the stupid lycra costume and every time he opens his mouth there is a moment in every movie where its... hang on... he's not a ****ing yank here but everyone is acting like he's talking like them.
Has anyone given Westworld a go? I'm enjoying it so far and interested to see what direction it takes. It's based on a film from the 70s. The concept is basically a theme park in the future where rich people go to live out things they couldn't do in the real world. The theme park is full of fake humans who the guests can kill, have sex with, rape, fight, or just be nice and help out etc... The hosts, aka fake humans can't kill the guests and aren't supposed to properly hurt them but **** starts to go wrong. Also a mention for a cheesy tv show on sky at the moment called Hooten and the Lady. It's like a modern, silly Indiana Jones, but the woman is stunning and makes it worth watching just to watch her.
I tried west world but felt that it lacked anyone to get behind. The humans are all villians and well... robots are robots like... needs a hero.
I agree, I was very bored getting through the first episode. There's something about it that seems interesting though so I'm going to wait until the whole season is done and try again. Fargo on the other hand is superb, I'm halfway through season 2 Tried Humans season 2 but it was just dull. @Red Hadron Collider Also binned HIM, an ITV attempt at a super powers thing.
Planet Earth 2 episode 1 was awesome...The snake vs baby iguana was some of the most tense and dramatic stuff I've seen recently: mother nature kicks Tarantino's ass lol
On hooten and the lady.... its poor fare. a) its shallow, lacking any depth even though they try having back story of hooten and given the lady a marriage she doesn't want really or does she. the back up characters have zero depth at all b) the lady aint good looking she's a geeky fringe and yer all falling for the accent. c) hooten i think is a pure stereotype. in short its a bit of basic drivel thats very obvious, always going to end the same way every week and has no thought required. its a fluff piece that you can wathc ne week and nothing much will have changed if you miss next 3 weeks i reckon.
My eldest came round on Saturday evening. A couple at the Cheese and then home for a delicious curry followed by Grand Budapest Hotel (she hadn't seen it) and The Thing. ****ing top night
Quite possibly the best telly I've seen this year. I swear if it was any other program I'd say those snakes were CGI
I know! I had it in HD+ and it was like a fecking movie lol Ibet David R. Ellis watched it and went "feck! you mean I could have got real stunt snakes!!!!"
Got an M8+s ultra hd OTT android tv box Its bloody brilliant, just need a couple of months off work now to catch up on everything!
