Thought we were bang average today. We were lucky Watford didn't bother turning up ... how many chances did we miss/not put away ?? And the defending for Watford's goal was truly shocking

He's taking the piss out of the media who would rather talk about how our lack of clean sheets has the potential to cause us problems, whereas Man City playing Stones in defence is actually costing them points

Yeah, his first few games he had nothing to do except pick the goal out of the net. I was starting to worry. He looked a bit flappy too, although I saw stat before yesterday's game where he had a 100% rate at catching his crosses....

Super hero's to one side.. although I've always had a thing for Wonder Woman... back to the match for me..
The comment I made about our defence, was a wee bit tongue in cheek!

In the past, teams like Watford scared me, they still do, its never been an issue getting up for games against the bigger clubs, but is that changing, I don't know for sure but I'd like to think so.

For 75mins, when we kept our foot on their necks, they couldn't do anything, however, I didn't like the way our level dropped for about 5-10 mins after we took Mane off.. In that time, they had 4 decent chances, it's also what Klopp picked up on, when on top stay on top, in this case, 5-0 up, it didn't need us to continue going gun-ho for the 6th goal, times like that we need to just keep the ball, if we lose the ball, do so in the oppo's area/half, also 5-0 up, there was no need to pile that many players ahead of the ball.
In game management needs to be the next thing Klopp needs to work on, I know we saw the game out against Chelsea and West Brom when being pegged back, but both times it was lapses in concentration that gave those teams a sniff.

However, I don't want to nit-pick.. this was a side that hadn't conceeded in over 3 games, yes, they had some players missing and yes they had Kabul in defence.. but that can't take away from our performance, Matip kept the likes of Deeney and Ighalo in his pocket, Lucas had a steady game, Milner had a bit of tough time against their right winger, Clyne was his usual solid self..
Thought Hendo and a very tidy game, breaking things up, giving it early and making a few telling passes too..
Good energy from Can, quality goal.
Lallana all over the pitch, making clever runs, opening up space for others and couple of very nice assists.
Front 3 continue to play to a high level, long may that continue (don't wish to say much more in case I jinx them!)

International break coming at the wrong time, got a nice bit of momentum and now we have to sit back and watch some dire footy and pray non of our key players are injured...

BTW Lynda Carter > Gal Gadot... (I'm old!)

milner finally conceded the type of situation i was expecting. he just hasn't got that body shape thing right where he's not sure which way to show a guy and ties himself in knows. Always offer the inside mate... always

    Lallana i thought was best.
    coutinho was excellent
Can doesn't look really fully fit IMO. he has improved each game but he still looks struggling a little bit on sharpness
Milner looked asleep until we scored. gave loads away
clyne looks like he's been struggling a little recently. I think he is carrying an injury still
    Mane worked hard.
    firmino was excellent again
Matip Imo really competed with them he is absolutely vital to us
Karius finally got a chance to make some saves and show something. no errors, one bloody stupid pack pass to him that he dealt with. one header outside the box he'd no need to do but he was out which is ok but in gneral improved display
Lucas was ok on the ball.
    henderson was henderson yawn...

Henderson held his position well and stopped any supply to the strikers. (that's his job)

Some harsh assessments there fella... we won 6-1 ;-)

Will agree on Can, he's taking 2 to 3 touches more than I'd like.. our play, at times, slows down when he gets it, in this instance Gini is better, gets it and gives it quicker, quicker over the ground too, and in all likelihood will grab more goals, not saying I want Can dropped, I just think he doesn't need to play all the time, good to have decent options from the bench.
Speaking of the bench, it didn't have Gomez, Lovern, Grujic, Stewart, Sakho and Ings (I know the last two are not available for different reasons, also doesn't include a host of talented youngsters as well!) but still had the likes of Moreno, Gini, Klavan, Mings, Origi and Sturridge on it.. Think with the addition of 3 quality players, a Winger to backup/keep Mane on his toes! MF to backup/keep Hendo on his toes and a CB to replace Sakho, we could/should have a decent first team as well as a damn decent second XI!

Also bombed forward with the ball numerous times and put in a nice (albiet terrible defending) through ball for Firm to set up Mane's 2nd and our 5th. <diva>

Ideally I would like Can where Hendo is, with Gini and Lallana ahead of him.

Not a chance, he doesn't have the engine, speed or discipline to play that role..
He's better playing further up and will get better when he's up to speed, right now, his decision making is a bit slower than the rest of the team!
